This was so sad! D: but it was really lovely at the same time, and you did a wonderful job with Greg and his dealing with Wirt's passing in contrast to the adults around him- a poignant and bittersweet piece. Well done.

This was quite the sad story. I was thinking Wirt was a figment of Greg imagination at first, but then the funeral came up and Wirt reacted before Greg even saw the inside of the casket. I wonder if it was his desire to remain by his brother's side and return him home that kept him on this side of the wall. I can only imagine how Greg's parents saw his action up to the funeral.

This was a well done story, thanks for writing this.

Oh gosh this is great! I love it! AMAZING jOB! So wait does this mean Wirt stays or will he leave? Since the ending is kinda vague for me lol. Anyways, I enjoyed the story! *Thumbs up*

About halfway through this, I looked at Wirt, and said 'he's a rusalka!'
Excellent story, wonderful handling of the reveal, perfect Greg viewpoint. The bit where he would have normally pulled away because Wirt was cold and wet, but didn't because Wirt needed it, just makes it all perfect. He's such a good kid.
And something about that last line, where as the rain drums on the roof, the water begins to dry, is moving beyond words. It makes no sense, but fits so perfectly.

Well, you did a good job with this fanfic. You ripped my heart then sewn it back together. I hope Wirt can find the peace he needs whether in the Unknown or with his brother.
