I'm extremely late with my review but I do it anyway: your story is great!

Really enjoyed it, the characters and their interactions read true to bad we didn't get this in the series.

Thank you for this story. I think you did a wonderful job of capturing the shape of their relationship. Not ever entirely comfortable, but not always outright hostile either. I think you also did a good job of dealing with their reations to their recent hardships. :)

Really nice inside into those men. Unfortunately this kind of dialogue never happened in the show at that moment.
For me is one question left, if Young had that conversation with Rush you wrote about, would Rush still kept the bridge a secret?
And may Rush have seen the fact that Young actually never talked to him after all they'd gone through with the LA folk, as some kind of a disapproval of his actions? I think, Rush had a lot of reasons for hiding the bridge, but the fact that Young refused to talk to his leading scientist at moments where it would be necessary, may have been one of those reasons.

I think it's really good.

Oh, lovely. I do wish the show had finally let Young and Rush find some middle ground, and I really do believe it would have had the show gone on. Alas, that was not to be, but this is a lovely little insight into both of them at such a hard time.
