I read an overview of The Last someone posted and my god it's awful, I'd say it reads like bad fanfiction but that would be an insult to people who write fanfiction. I know it's petty of me but I'm happy to hear that it's getting ripped to shreds by fans.

Anyway nice work on this, it's far superior to what that crap stain of movie gave us.

Just had to comment on the movie. I watched the movie in theaters, and yes, it was not what I expected. Yet, I can see the ending as the 'Last'. I think whoever marketed the movie did a poor job of the commercials and summaries before the movie premiered. They were highly misleading, and if they did focus on what the movie was about, which was Hinata's role in Naruto's life and Naruto finding happiness with someone who loved him for so long, then the fans wouldn't have their expectations blown out of proportions.
From all the commercials and whatnot, I did expect lots of action and more character depth in other characters. However, this movie is about Naruto, not Sasuke, not Kakashi, and how Naruto finds closure in his life because it's not him chasing anyone this time. After all, Hinata's loved him even before Iruka-sensei revealed his empathy towards Naruto.
Anyways, after the credits, it has been revealed that the new series will debut in August 2015. Perhaps he'll reveal all the details of what happened between the war and the last chapter and the stories of the main characters in the beginning of that series. I'm sure he just wanted to highlight Naruto's story as a film, the series is called Naruto, haha.
I'm not sure where you heard of pity pairings, but I wouldn't believe in interviews outside of what Jump and sponsors have available. Other news and companies pick and choose what they want to say to get your attention and spread rumors to make their site popular.
I like the depth in romance, even though it's a Jump. Jump manga usually portrays women in a very sexual manner as it is, so it feels nice that there's more to Naruto than just action and friendship, haha. Kishimoto definitely took a risk in having strong shoujo elements to mainstream Jump series, and I applaud him for it. I'm pleased with it anyways. x3
