I was shipping these to since season 2. I was literally jumping and cheering by the end of the series. I'm glad that you wrote this, it adds a simple closure and really brings everything together. I would be happy to read about their adventures in the spirit world. Just a thought.

I really like that last line. It's sweet and sentimental. It's interesting... Tenzin's perspective. Very creative. I would have never thought of that.

Wow! I have to say, I've been scanning the Korrasami fics for awhile now, and this is definitely one of the most well thought out, cared for, and well written. I found the pace and style fascinating. You did a lot of telling by showing, and almost vice versa but it wasn't in a bad way at all. It was really, really good. Something about it rang Ernest Hemingway with me in the depiction of events.
I should also add that this piece was so incredibly sweet, and attuned to the characters it represented. Tenzin's insightful nature, Mako and Korra progressed maturity, little flashes of Pema and Asami's kindness.
I practically choked on my water when I read the bit about Asami slapping Varrick across the face. Hilarious.

Just as with The Legacy of the Headband, your characterization-focused storytelling works wonders. It fits in well with the finale, and (unlike some of the fics out right now) doesn't presume to pass judgement on what has happened.
