Painful and beautiful to read - quite like Sumire's tundra I suppose, and it's always nice when the progression of a story is so particular to the characters themselves. Great work. Thank you for writing this.

wow, somehow Neji's like her life is even worse than mine. This is such an interesting set up, i really enjoyed it! Thanks for what you wrote, and that you shared it!

I think you really did a great job with this. There's something to be said for someone so numb to the cruelty of the world that any attempt to be cruel to them churns your own stomach. That ironic mirror, someone who shows/experiences no emotion as they try so hard to teach, but instead of being inspiring it's a living condemnation of their ideals? That's fascinating. Sumire's impact on things, especially Hinata and Neji, would be extremely interesting to see.

Some would say that despite the poetic description you've used, the all encroaching darkness of this story makes them apathetic. But I say: That is the point. Sumire is numb to it all.

"It doesn't matter how good or bad I am, because I shouldn't have been born in the first place. This is a fate I can not escape."

That one line is one of the most devastating blows I've ever read to someone's worldview. What makes it work so well is how it's clear Sumire is simply stating a fact. It's no carefully calculated attack, it's an unthinking accidental blow, gentile and horribly destructive. A bit like the Juuken is supposed to be.

This is amazing and I loved it! Sumire is a very interesting character and I loved reading about her!

Dang, I really loved this, wish it was a full fic. It was fun to read what you had though, I love Sumire's distant coldness that makes her seem like such a Hyuuga in personality, except that the rest of the clan is so offput by it lol.

This story made me feel this sense of disattached numbness and for that, I applaud you. There are very few books out there that have made me feel this way and I somehow find it pleasing that they exist and can create a sense lacking emotion where you just become numb, instead of the usual rollercoaster of emotions or a strong sense of passion. The last time I felt this way while reading was when I read "Night" by Elie Wiesel, which is about a Holocaust survivor and what he went through.

This is a fascinating story.

this is really cool. I just know that Sumire and Naruto will get along. Whereas Naruto shines brightly like a sun and inspires for change, Sumire is still and cold and accepts the world. it will interesting to see them interact.

I loved this. It was so powerful yet short and leaves you wanting more.

So... she wanted to be free... by going to Konoha and getting the CAGED bird seal? Dude I would have just gone to Kumogakure, plus it would have been safer as far as avoiding the plot. She would have been treated better there.

Here's hoping and fingers crossed that you still are motivated enough to feed your desperate readers...? Lol, but seriously- this story has excellent potential. It's a unique SI already, and I'd love to see what wonderful masterpiece is could become, but no pressure. I'm happy with this chapter to give me a grip in the story and let my own imagination create the rest.

This is so different from the usual SI's you see in Naruto, and it's really interesting. I like your world building, and the way you developed Sumire's character. It's really lovely and poetic. I didn't realize it was a one-off though, so I was pretty sad when I got down here and din't see a 'next chapter' button. T.T

But either way, great job.
