This was great! Very analytical and insightful! I think you delved deep into that scene (something hard to do, considering Chase and House (especially House!) and their POVs).

I also got hooked on that moment in S8 - I always loved their subtle father/son relationship, so it was great to see highlighted snippets throughout S8 to honor that particular relationship.

I think that what you mentioned here really hit home; all of the thought-processes make a lot of sense. And I'm sure that Chase really did know that he was "special" by the end, very much the "prodigal son," indeed! :)
