Honestly I wasn't expecting to like this story when I started reading it. I was happily surprised to find myself loving it. Thank you for writing such a wonderful story.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I never reviewed this final chapter. I'm so sorry. A fantastic chapter to end this whole wonderful story. I was really worried there for a while that Bass and Miles might really be gone, so thank you for bringing them both home safely to Charlie.

I too, love to consider how things would evolve if one thing was a little different. It was great to see the strength with which you wrote Charlie and the sadness as the chapter started. I loved Bass' line that "anything that protects her is the right thing". It is so authentic to the character and to how you have developed the story. It was great that it was Miles that took her to the train and it felt right that Duncan told her it was time to grow up, so that when she was sworn in as leader, the character felt ready. I think this is so well done - B

This was a very well done chapter - it is such a hard scene to have to write, but it really moves the plot well. I loved how Charlie just showed how truly young she was in wanting comfort from her daddy and Bass' love for her really shown in this chapter! - B

Charlie was so wonderfully written in this chapter - to visit the hospital and the morgue, to engage with the conversation with Duncan - it all showed such a strong maturity and a real presidential strength. Of course the end was wonderful! B

Oh my goodness! This is everything wonderful about reading fanfiction. I was so excited I could barely keep reading, don't worry though I couldn't tear my eyes away. I really like the name you picked for little Maggie. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Aww, I'm sad to see this story go. I was fantastic from beginning to end. I was a little worried there for a second when I thought you might have actually killed Bass, but I loved their reunion, so I forgive you. :-) Thanks for such an awesome read!

Well, I for one, loved this story. My favorite bit of this chapter was this:
"So, against her better judgment, she tucks her grief-stricken heart into a box and watches Austin disappear. Closing her eyes, she focuses on her unborn child. Six months down, three to go until she can finally hold a piece of Bass in her arms." **sigh**

Your Charlie in this story was strong and smart and courageous. I love tough Charlie and you really brought that side of her out in this story. Thank you for the happy ending and the healthy baby and all the rest. -Lemon

PS I also really loved Jeremy in this. A lot. I adore Jeremy and having him play such a supportive role for Charlie...for being such a dear friend to her when she needed one most - perfect. :)

Great job! This story has been a delight to read. Myself like the thought of an AU where Charlotte know Bass from the start, instead of the actual story on the show.

This whole thing just broke my heart. Charlie's forced to leave her home, possibly to never see Miles or Bass again, and the city might turn to dust. Sad, but awesome chapter. :-) Oh, and I love Bass talking to the baby while she couldn't hear, too cute.

Oh, my God, I need another update, like, now. I'm so worried for...well, basically everyone. I know Charlie is doing what she needs to, but I need her to find Bass and Miles again...oh, man. Seriously, update as soon as possible.

I liked this chapter a lot. I mean, I found it so very sad, especially for Charlie (I knew she was going to be pregnant), but for a lot of the others as well. This is a tight knit family and Danny's death is going to be hard on all of them. But this was very well written.

OK, I'm going to wind up babbling in my review, so I'll just say wonderful job and I look forward to the next installment. I'm fairly certain Bass is NOT going to let this rest.
