| shadowfax00 chapter 9 . 7/3 Umm wow, I really like how much thought you've given into the Veela backstory. The torture they went through sounds truly horrendous. And Hermione's vacillating opinion about Draco's complicity and decisions are also very realistic. You never truly can come to terms with forgiving people who have wronged you in the past. Usually it's a huge swing between guilt (especially when they have hard difficult circumstances themselves) and anger, so now that the anger part is over, will she feel guilty about railing at him for something outside of his control? (Esplly when the Dark Lord doesn't present "options"to former followers). It's really unfair for her to find his acts unforgivable, expecting him to seek shelter with Dumbledore/OOTP when Dumbledore himself remarked in the 6th book that Draco had a death sentence as sure as his own. And Order couldn't protect their own- Ted Tonks died-he was forced to go on a run. the Order was a band of fugitives for all practical purposes who were scattered all over. In any case, I guess it will take a bit longer for her to come to terms with it. I mean, you're weaving such an intricate story which is already almost 100k (congrats on that) but this chapter made me realize there are so many obstacles to get over for them to start a meaningful relationship. It's truly a slow-burn and i'm here for it! |
