Well, so much for Donnie's chances- darn it... We knew he had to show up sooner or later, and hot damn, but you make him sound delish! Now, I wonder what they're going to do about that lab?

I love your ability to get into Donnie's head. Nervous and ever over anylizing. But the small details of figiting and math calculations combined with his hyper-awareness brings a realism and clarity to his nerousis. And as for the Casey kicker, there is no denying he has a sense of raw machismo that is undenably sexy. Though subtle your allusion that April responds to it is perfect. It most likely means nothing to her, sometimes the body just reacts to those cues. I can only think from Donnie's POV he sees this and spirals even lower into his self deprecation. Wonderful piece as always!

Had to read it again here on ff. I just adore your Donnie! On the edge of crazy. I guess it comes along with his genius and self doubt. I love how you write his internal dialogue. I never tire of it.
