I always thought that the "I miss you Tess" was not followed up enough.

Nice fic, but I couldn't help but think of Becca Fisher here when Tess protested that he'd collapse halfway through :D I don't really like Tess, especially after I saw that bonus scene where he's asking why she didn't want to open the case again, and she replies "I do, but I have a career to protect." I screamed bloody murder (in my best Scottish accent, of course) at that point.

That's not to say I ship Hardy with Ellie either. The two of them sleeping together turns me off, lol. I don't ship Hardy with anyone (no, not even myself; I'd actually end up pissing in a cup and throwing it at him).

But this is a very sweet and nice fic! Everyone's totally in character. Out-bloody-standing, Anera!

I haven't seen the season finale yet and I'm not really a fan of Tess but I loved the moment when he tells Tess to take him home. I like the way that you wrote them here, short but sweet!

I haven't see the show yet because I live in the US, but this is really good. I hope they do get together, too. Ellie is a good friend and a good partner, but that's it.
