Reviews for Plot Holes and Pet-Peeves about The Sparticle Mystery
KiwiBunny123 chapter 2 . 8/3
I loved this! I absolutely love the sparticle mystery but I definitely agree, there are some big plot-holes.
Some plot holes that have always confused me are:
1) How did no one know that Holly and Ernesto had done it? I'm fairly certain that I know when they do end up doing it, I think it's when holly says "Well we still have tonight" because that would probably make sense. But seriously how did no one notice? XD
2) this is just a theory I guess. Who is miss lowman? At the start of the first episode, Reese says "miss lowman isn't allowed to leave me" this got me thinking that miss lowman was a social worker or maybe reese's foster parent. This was a random thought but I always thought that Reese might have been abused or neglected because of a few different reasons (for example):
•After she gets back from the library, and she finds out that they were all looking for her, she gets all nervous, almost like she's scared that they're angry, and apologises a lot. I just always thought this was similar to the typical qualities of an abused/neglected child
• who is miss lowman?! XD
I know I'm probably wrong because in season 3, Reese talks about her parents and her dog so maybe I'm just crazy XD
Thanks
Kiwi :)

Nice list but, erm; what about planes? Like, it's been a while since I watched it; but did they ever talk about the children on planes when the adults were gone? And in cars... buses?
the fang kid chapter 2 . 12/17/2017
please tell where the cannibalism is, I think I missed it. if it's that scene where they try to cook a live rabbit, most people eat rabbits as much as chickens, pigs or beef. also, isn't it a bit odd that some of the teen parents ended up at the quantum nexus, and some ended up elseware?
Emma chapter 1 . 9/10/2017
Why couldn't Reese just go 1 more second st the end on season 1 and all the adults would've been back ASAP
yasm chapter 2 . 2/18/2017
Some of those can be explained.

They mention in that episode that that's the only fairground in the path from her office to the particle collider, so there'd be a high chance kids would stop by. The zip code ticket was sheer luck, though, since she actually wanted to leave those yellow posters instead, but they kept being removed.

Reese was so obsessed with Moora's concern about there being many worlds she didn't even consider the possibility that there might be a special relationship between the two that were split. Being right all the time made her stop having critic thoughts about her own ideas.

I'm not sure how the whole teen parents not remembering anything works, but I think Doomsday Dora was just the only one that believed in mysticism, so she's the only one who could've predicted the split (which was caused by the different chakras, so no scientific reason to believe in). I don't like the forgetting thing, though, since it implies the only ones who got something out of the whole ordeal were the first kids. All character development for the others was for naught.

The monogrammed clothes are kind of explainable, specially in season 3, because Dora The Genius could operate anything, so setting up the machinery to print those out wouldn't be hard. I'm not sure how they solved the water issue, but they were probably using biofuel since season 2. Dora could also take care of most resources, though it's implied there were also quite a bit of farming children left. It's implied she re-established the Internet and connected all phone lines to the prison call centre.

But I have some pet peeves of my own.

About Ernesto, what happened to the baby version of himself? It wasn't born yet when the teen parents came along, so when they went back did it just vanish from existence? Or, even darker, did it stay there with no one to take care of him, slowly dying from hunger and thirst?

Which reminds me, how did Moona survive in-between worlds? If she could visit the different dimensions, couldn't she just cross over to Reese's anytime?

WHAT HAPPENED TO ANITA? Specially since teen parents came along... She could've made a big difference, specially when it came to explaining things to Dora. They also never mentioned Kat again, after the first episode in season 2, and the other characters were said to have made a deal with the Queen, but that doesn't explain their complete disappearance. I know, the actors left, but that's not a reason to not even mention them ever again.

When the worlds merged, what about the differences between them? Sure a lot was moved around, changed and destroyed in both worlds since the split. Which one took precedence? If it was the kid's, a lot of damage was done. Either way, it's kind of worrying how some people might've gotten stuck inside a wall or something in the transition.

But, let's be frank, the whole premise is flawed and unscientific, and even taking the supernatural elements into account, the sequence of events are completely unrealistic. Kids wouldn't just fight with fruits and dirt, in real life some of them would use actual weapons, and things would escalate quickly. There would be killing, raping and cruelty. Lord of the Flies is dark as it is for a reason.

You forgot that Jeffrey and Jordan are brothers, but they have different accents

This made me laugh so hard whilst reading it! There are way too many plot holes in the Sparticle Mystery... Very funny :)
Seahorse8 chapter 1 . 7/9/2015
I kept wondering about all the babies and toddlers who were at home when the adults disappeared, and would have ended up trapped and dying of starvation!
What also annoys me is how series 3 is meant to be set about 4 years after series one, but Frankie still acts like she's eight rather than twelve, whereas Holly, who'd be about 17 in series 3, ends up pregnant. Reese also appeared to not know what a tablet was, which is weird as they were already being used at the time of series 1. Basically the timing seems to be completely mental.
I also felt sorry for Muna and Anita, I mean they were basically trapped all alone for years!
TriRanger chapter 1 . 4/6/2015
2) In episode 1 of Season 3, it's mentioned the rest of the Sparticles were working at a hospital. That's probably where Muna is (yes, I know Muna wasn't a Sparticle).

3) Someone asked this in the final episode of Season 2. Doomsday Dora didn't actually work at the Quantum Nexus and didn't have the address to begin with.

4) The kids didn't learn the worlds were still connected until they got to the Quantum Nexus, and when Holodora told the Sparticles that, Reese was out of earshot.

5) I thought the teen parents were versions of the adults from another world altogether, not the same ones who gave birth to the kids in the series.

19) Well Rocky's tribe (from season 2) were farm workers.

21) People have sex even though they don't want to have kids.
InfinityAndOne chapter 2 . 3/29/2015
These are really good.
Also, do you know what happened to Anita(The woman with the child's heart)? Because, she was the only adult on earth, then the old guy comes along, and now he's the only adult on earth...
tegan.eva chapter 1 . 3/9/2015
The reapers didn't come and destroy anything, because in that specific DW episode, if you'll remember, Rose saved her dad from dying, and if she hadnt done that, it wouldn't have led to her holding her baby self. Ernesto didn't stop anything from happening, he purely held his past self, which was there because of the teen parents coming back. so it wasn't a paradox.

Other than that, everything's perfect with your mistakes.
pleasedontfindmyfanfiction21 chapter 1 . 3/5/2015
Really enjoyed reading about this! Thank you for writing it!
KT Brooks chapter 1 . 2/20/2015
Although I do see and understand your point, I have two words that answer all of your questions and problems with The Sparticle Mystery...

... IT'S FICTION!
TheOnlineTypewriter chapter 1 . 2/17/2015
Plot hole/Peeve 6: Wrong TV show
Plot hole/Peeve 19: We haven't seen farmers/foragers, that doesn't mean they're not there
Plot hole/Peeve 20 could be wrong, as it's television. It's not all linear, there could have been 10 weeks between The Zone and when Holly and Ernesto last see each other
Plot hole/Peeve 21: She's had to survive with other kids for 3 years, so she may have changed her mind
