I've found this story a while ago. I'm impressed that it took you a year and a few months to keep this going and then finish it. You're one determined guy. That said...

You put in a natural growth for the kids here. The positives and negatives of change. While others grow for the better, Sarah fluctuated before she later got better, and Kevin? Well, he was in the negative for a while until the very end. It was his pride and drive to be the best that had blinded him. I can't say that I'm surprised. That ego of his had been inflated by being the 'cool' kid...and it was ironically his own actions that had that ego of his rupture, and then pop by Diantha. The point of a journey is to grow after all, with the experiences that you attain. And not every experience is good, nor is it bad.

Eddy's growth throughout this journey had him learn the meaning of bonds, patience and sometimes materialistic possessions aren't worth it. Eddy wanted to become the best...and he did. If not for Double D and Ed, he may have turned out for the worse. Double D and Ed had also grew as well. And you certainly had them in character. When pushed too far, they could do things that aren't 'them' at times. In any case...

This has been an enjoyable read from start to finish. Though I did spot some spelling mistakes and such, but I'll let it slide. If you even do want to make a sequel to this story, take your time on it. Sure, you've spent the past four years but, no one is rushing you. Do what you gotta do.

Okay, so I know you're probably not gonna read this (no offense, it's just because it's in the second chapter of a 5 year old fic), but I still wanna post my thoughts on this.

The scenes with the Ed's in this chapter were pretty entertaining. I do like we start to see their personalities begin to shape their battle methods (such as Eddy focusing on offense, and Double D with careful planning). I also think it's a good idea to make everything large like making routes miles long, adds a larger sense of scale to everything.

However, with the rest of the kids back at the Cul-de-sac, it could've been better. Main issue is that the whole thing with all the parents finding out and Sycamore letting the other kids joined feels kinda rushed. There's no real dialogue, just a description of what happens. It doesn't make it as interesting.

Then there's Kevin and Sarah. My main issue with this is that I don't think the parents would outright ground them for their actions. I'm not saying what they did wasn't wrong. What I am saying is that it feels like that's not what they would actually do. In the series, it's implied that that Ed's parents dote on Sarah, possibly letting Sarah get away with some of her actions. And Kevin's parents would probably be the ones the give him his kind of behavior, as is usually the case with alot of bully characters.

One more thing: Kevin's dad says he'll only forgive him if he beats the Ed's. Why would a parent ground their kid for harassing and bullying other specific kids... then say they'll unground them if they best the other kids in contest in a situation where they cantt be around to watch? That's basically asking Kevin to bully the Ed's more.

Anyway, again, good chapter on the Ed's side, but the scenes back at the Cul-de-sac need a bit of a do-over. Still, this is an early chapter, and writing usually does improve over time. Maybe just give this chapter a revisit sometime.

From beginning to end this story has had me hooked. It was amazing, funny, and overall the best pokemon crossover story ever. Looking forward to the sequel. Good luck!
