Wow. You weren't kidding when you said their relationship is unique. They're both kind of messed up after all the shit they've gone through. Yet they both manage to sound in character and for all of their insults they still seem to have a pretty good relationship. It's weird, but compelling. Any chance of getting more Jack/Miranda in later stories? I've always wanted to see your take on their relationship.

Rae, Loved this addition to this story. Jack and Miranda were incredible and for me, very unexpected. I Loved how Miranda took full control of the situation and heightened the tension between the two of them. Such a Miranda thing to do too! She so loves being in control. :)

Ok, so this is pretty excellent as a relationship built on mutual friction.
Hmm, I wonder if part of it's having someone they can trust to spit their worst right into their faces which triggers a denial response. Sort of a "I won't become the thing I hate" refusal paired with hearing it from someone who reminds them that they sometimes are that person.
Oh, and it's hot too!

Love this chapter! The interactions between them are fascinating and you write them so well. Even without reading the author's note, you can tell this is just how they deal with each other and it's coming from a place of love and understanding. Well done.
