I read everything and the only word that came in my mind is AMAZING! It's hard to find this kind of story where Naru and the gang is not OOC also great plot. I love the mystery and the creepiness. I'm a silent reader by the way. Thanks for writing this.

I cannot believe I went through all that. As much as I love ghost hunt, this story just wasn't right. Way too confusing and so many cringe-worthy moments when the characters acted OC. I applaud you for writing this when English is your second language however maybe you could have toned it down? The story was quite grandiose, lots of unnecessary characters, too many mysteries that didn't make sense and the whole story was drawn out too much. I started reading this, hoping it would get better but it got worse. I still have no answers to various questions as you tried to link things together but it just fell apart. This story could greatly benefit from having a beta reader and a lot of rewriting. Next time, stick to small things and think mysteries through. I'm not sure if all these monsters or rituals even exist so maybe do some research or just stick to what you know?

Wow that was a long ride, but I enjoyed every bit of it. A few grammatical errors and spelling errors here and there, but that doesn't detract from the amazing plot. The detail put into each character and the development of the story as a whole was amazing to see. Thank you for a very well done story.

Aside from a few spelling mistakes it isn't that much big of a deal for me cause I am taken away by the wonderful plot and twists and turns of the story itself so I really don't mind it :))
I love how the characters aren't OC cause it seems like that's how they acted here is how they would also act in the anime or manga :)

I totally love this! Mai isn't that helpless but is still a danger magnet and Naru! Yes finally he confessed and isn't ooc! A worthwhile reading! Love it! I wish there were more like this! Thank God the oc's weren't a bother! I kinda liked Kagiri somewhere in the middle when I learned his reason.. And yes I hate the girl but heh! It was fun

I've stopped reviewing for fanfics a few months ago but I felt this story deserved a review.

Firstly, what an amazing plot. Never in the Ghost Hunt series was there a rivalry like this! What drives this story is the villain's anguish which could corrupt anyone's mood. He was intelligent but more so he was weak minded and that never makes one a survival or successful in life. Another drive in this story was Naru. The battle between his opponent, his wits and his feelings for Mai was difficult to process but you managed to write everything exceedingly well. Nothing felt like it was out of place, or messy.. It was always thorough.

Secondly, your character portrayals. Mai was exactly how we love her in the anime. Specially in the moments she was first abducted and the moments she lost her memories inside that small room. Such a pure soul but nothing one dimensional. She was very human in this but with will and strength that was extraordinary. Naru, as I've said was going through a lot. It was interesting seeing him become emotional. I think the most true Naru moments were when he woke up and saw that Mai was in the garden, as well as his confession. It was Naru succumbing to hisself. He may have won against his most dangerous and worthy opponent yet but he still managed to lose against himself. Emotion won over science. I liked Gene in this. It was more preferable to view him as someone wiser and much older than everyone mentally, including Naru himself. Because then it eliminates the intended love triangle from the manga. Everyone else was in character though I would have appreciated more appearances and dialogue from the other co workers. But this was mainly Naru/Villian. It worked well.

Thirdly, there were some stunning moments in this. Specifically Mai's dream world. It shows her character so well. Naru being carried by Mai. The talking coin, which I enjoyed very much. Just simplistic things that were sweet.

There were flaws in this, of course. Mainly grammar and tenses. I'm not a fan of second person. It was used often in this but you said English wasn't your first language. It was still easy to read but a good cleanup would make this absolute gold. Another flaw I found was the Villian's motives. I was confused somewhat with his full intentions. But eh.

Either way, this is getting a favorite from me which isn't given often. Good job!

I like this kind of ending better. But it's really great if you're going to add some epilogue I do really want Mai and Naru time together.

This Ghost Hunt fanfic is by far one of the most amazing story I read. I love the equality of the characters. The villain is the one main reason the story progress. No annoying OOC (sometimes there is OOCness but it's still fine) Everything ended well and I didn't see any plot holes. I want to congratulate you for writing this story. You took Ghost Hunt on a higher level. Not only they're fighting Ghost but an undead person that uses shiki to get revenge. How you did everything step by step and also the dialogues between the villain and Naru was amazing. If the villain was smart Naru was smarter. Mai's the same, Masako wasn't annoying and you added another OC to put some spice on the girl's rivalry.

The construction was great! It really felt like watching an anime. Amazing chants and battles made the climax more exciting not to mention Ayako, monk, masako and john's chant! It gave me goosebumps!

This story was amazing! I loved it from first to last. My only hope was a kiss at the end otherwise this was probably one of the best fics I have ever read! (That's a lot since I've been on since 2007!) Keep upbthe amazing work and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

I love this so much! Its amazing and beautiful! It inspired my to work on yet another fanfic (i only have three but major writers block isnt helping with any of them! Unfortunately i have only posted 1) anyway I am glad I read this it has inspired me once again to work on my stories that I have thanks so much for the inspiration!
