I clicked on this because the title intrigued me... and then you went and wrote so well that I kept going. I love your depiction of the siblings and their individual bonds. Peter's struggle with being essentially thrown out of Narnia is heart-rendering; and I loved that Aslan came to him and Edmund after they made the right decision (however hard it was for them.)

Ed's relationship with Susan is one that i always felt was strong, and I love how you showed it here! I'm looking forward to seeing how this progresses. The whole story has me very intrigued.

I really love how you portrayed Susan; I know how it is fighting against yourself, and sometimes listening can be really hard, but I'm glad she found the way to let Alsan in at last! And I absolutely loved the flashback! Great job!

*shivers with wonderment* This is beautiful, perfect, tangible. . . real. It is wisdom and innocence and childhood and adulthood together in a perfect blend. It's love and loss, pain and pleasure. I adore this series of connecting one-shots so much that I almost cannot breathe as I read them. They are timeless, and I can always come back to them if I'm feeling lost or forgotten.

Oh my... I'd never thought of the morality of digging up the rings. But I'm glad it played out the way you wrote it. Their meeting Aslan again was so powerful. Just wow! (And now I'm curious as to where they ended up and the effects of being pulled from /that/ world back to England just in time for the train accident that finally takes them Home.)
Really, the only constructive criticism I can give is to point out a couple teeny mistakes (such as "prize" when you meant "price") and the parenthesized "or picking up locks" (we would still understand that Oreius taught them that without that explanation).

Gosh, I really think you should make a chaptered fic out of this, it could be a really good lotr/Narnia crossover. Of course, that is my personal belief.
