The low number of reviews for this story boggles my mind. It is easily one of the best stories written in this fandom and should have at least 1000 reviews.

I'm wondering if it is the number of chapters of this story or the fast pace in which you published this story-for I remember when this story was first published-that has lead to the low number of reviews.

I understand how you'd be surprised on how people would appreciate an OC-heavy story. The same happened to me, too, recently. I think OCs have received such a bad reputation that people don't read stories with OCs in it on principle. A pity, because there are gems like this if only one would go beyond the stigma...
Thank you so, so much for writing this, posting it and seeing it through the end. I love it very much, and only regret that Frigga didn't get to have a chapter of her own in here, though she did get a role both from Odin's and Thor's points of view. I love your characters, OCs or no, especially the way you wrote Odin and Thor; flawed people, but loving nonetheless - not evil, not sugary good, just... people. And, with that last titbit about Loki and Odin clearing the air between them, I desperately hope that it means, at least within this universe, the Thor films don't happen, even if somewhere in the future Loki finds out about his ancestry.
If you'd allow it, I would like to borrow several elements of this little universe, namely Loki's ill health as a child and poor tolerance to heat, the Rust District, and also some aspects from both the healer-maid and the warrior-cook. - Well, there's an adage with "flattery" and "imitation" in it, no? :grin: But really, I do adore them, although sometimes, though I say I'd like to borrow, I don't really know when/how to incorporate those items into things... I guess I'm just a horder, of little imitative pearls that might never see the light but nonetheless remind me of stories I like so much. :)
Oh, the story of that axe... Did you tweak it from LOTR, about the friendship of Legolas and Gimli? The names certainly fit! And while Legolas never gave Gimli an axe in canon, fanficker's prerogative is law in a fanfiction story...
