I don't know if English is your first language but you just need to work a bit on grammar and the sense of certain sentences otherwise it's a very good plot and story line.

I really enjoyed this. I'd be interested in reading another chapter but if this is where you leave it then so be it. :)

A review in a slightly different format.

My preconceptions: Leukemia is a life-long illness, and you don't ever really cure it. You simply go into remission for a while, and it might (probably) come back. People in stories who have diseases (or injuries) tend to be too disappointing to enjoy the story..

My realizations: The story was very charming, and heartwarming. True, you didn't mention anything about possible relapses, but then, I've never known anyone with the disease, so maybe there are some that can be fully cured.

All in all, it was a nice story, and makes me very glad that Rick mis-heard the room letter (as if he could avoid the mistake, with Kate in the other room!)
