Oooh, this story is here as well as on AO3. Made it to nearly 14 days so only the 2nd re-read in 2 weeks. Feels a bit different for some reason. Still not gotten old yet after 12 re-reads. Of course I always hope there might be a new chapter or two to this very sweet and sexy story, some AU epilogues perhaps... but if not then it's still my favourite fix for my Loghain addiction ...

I do like to see Loghain admitting to his own weak will, and allowing his desires (and his secret heart) to overcome his lifelong prejudices. And I really enjoyed the play of language in the descriptions of the whorehouse and its activities - lots of unusual and apt words there, well used.

The Fereldan general is in love and can't admit it, so he denigrates what he can't help wanting; the Orlesian commander is in love, and it makes her willing to stand up for herself against his gibes. These two are utterly perfect for each other - and extremely hot!

I really like this view of Loghain as overcome by his own desires in a way that shames and excites him at the same time. And I appreciate that while he knows what he's doing physically, he can't read her emotions at all, which also feels very Loghain to me.
