Perfection

This was great! I think Harry and Hermione are gonna want to be on the lookout for Ginny and Romilda in particular for a while, but otherwise it seemed to go as planned. It also served the purpose of showing Harry which girls (and guys) still only thought of him as the Boy Who Lived and not Harry and if he hadn't gotten the courage to pull that smooth move with Hermione, he'd have had a better idea of which girls to avoid dating in the future. Speaking of that move on Hermione, it was genius! Even if she didn't want to date him, it was a very creative way to let her know what his feelings were for her.

Very fun. Loved the theatricality of the prank as well. Wouldn't have worked nearly as well with just a booth in the great hall. But likely would have triggered ol' Greasy hair.

And it ends perfectly. Not only mocking the fan-girls, but then ending with the perfect one. So much fun.

This is a wonderful one-shot.

From the concern for Harry that Hermione has (a concern she really didn't have in canon and should have had) to the discussion she has with Harry that gets to the heart of his upset. Her idea to prank the fan girls is brilliant.

The prank itself was hilarious. If I have any wish, it would be to have had that section longer. It would have been fun to have gone into reactions more deeply.

The resolution of the potions book works well. So did the kiss, the acknowledgment of their mutual feelings and decision to go forward as a couple.
