Great short story! I really like the humour you use. That really made me smile! :) One thing I thought about though: I would prefer to write like this;
"Merry Christmas, guys." he mumbled to the air.
instead of:
"Merry Christmas, guys."
He mumbled to the air.
But I guess it doesn't make any difference actually. It's up to the writer I guess.
