This was beautiful. I would say more but there is nothing more to really say. Your writing style is amazing, the way it truly captures the emotions and characteristics of Emmeryn an Frederick. Just beautiful.

Wow. That's my first thought, and is lingering even as I write. Emm/Fred is one of those pairings that despite not being canonically mentioned, just have to be a thing. Their personalities work in tandem with one another: duty before emotion, yet emotion can override duty as easily as leaf turns in the breeze. Your writing was beautifully captivating, desperate, evoking and just, quite simply, lovely to read.
That last snippet was exquisite. No more words were needed - those lines were poignant and heart-hitting. The pragmatics could be vastly explored, but I'll just say this - thank you for writing! And warm wishes.

...This was beautiful. The emotions in it were so real and raw and yet Frederick and Emmeryn's personalities shine through it all. It just makes me feel a million times sadder to imagine Frederick having romantic feelings for Emm and then she dies and he blames himself even more (sobs into hands).

I loved the sense of desperation in each of the snippets. So many things were falling apart but they kept falling back together like they might not see each other again (and then it actually happens no Freddy why). I'm still recovering from all the feels that washed over me from your story, this was beyond excellent.
