It always irk me that no one says anything to her that she flirted shamelessly with another man infont of her husband and she was smug about it. People would have ripped Castle off if he had done that and be smug about it. She always get what she wants and no one blame her. sure I can understand it was small thing in terms of what she did with Vaughn in comparison to to Valentines. But seriously see always does that to Castle and if he would have done this he would have been called a Playboy. God, if she could just be as fiercely dedicated to Rick Castle as Rick Castle is dedicated to her. But I isn't in her blood.

Hot stuff! I like how you focused in on the idea of Castle being possessive as opposed to jealous, It's a good distinction, underscored by Castle saying it wasn't about the flirting and him being aware that Kate wasn't really interested in Valentine. My favorite line on the subject:

"Now, though, she was his and he didn't care if it made him possessive or jealous – Kate Beckett was his wife and he wasn't going to let some washed up TV actor like Valentine charm and lust after her as if the wedding band on her finger meant nothing."

Kate's response of being...understanding, is good also. No one was playing the blame game, and it was all...good. ;)
