I don't know about "your" Beckett here. Marlowe turned her into a very selfish (also a liar & stupid apparently: didn't remember she had gotten married to Rogan?!) character also, but I don't think that even he would have had her endanger everyone's lives the Beckett is. I understand she's obsessed & "addicted" (which believe me, I know all about!) to this case but even then, she wouldn't put THEIR lives on the line. Also, Castle would be absolutely livid. Not, oh well Kate I know you tried for a day or 2 to not risk my beloved daughters life but why don't you give us a ride home? Maybe Lex could sit up front & hang her head out the window so that the next sniper doesn't have an impeded shot!

I can see Alexis being angry cuz she's terrified but I can't see Martha being so cold.

Oh it’s so easy to imagine this scenario with how vivid these scenes are.

The heaviness of Kate’s burden is glaringly obvious in this chapter, she truly has taken on Rick’s burden as well as her own.

I always wondered what this angle would look like if it were made easier, less convoluted... and Beckett's weakness being highlighted... loved her and the show, but he burning desire to risk everything always upset me... good story, I look forward to part two
