This was absolutely beautiful. I've always yelled at Anne when she stuck her nose up at our lovely Gilbert Blythe. Your writing was perfect as you kept her character, but ended the unforgiveness sooner.

You managed to master LMM's style, especially here :) Anne's stately stubbornness is PERFECT and hilarious, and her melting at last under Marilla's jurisdiction and bonding over Roman history with Gilbert was absolutely adorable. The humor, the melodrama (on Anne's part, anyway), and the slowly budding romance was all done in perfect homage to LMM's wonderful storytelling. And it works as a fantastic AU, where the LONG gap of "not talking" ends far, far sooner, as it should be. Very nice and lovely fic :)

Wow! Your writing style is absolutely georgeous as our wonderful Anne would say and the story is really interesting - I wish it had no end. The characters are beautifully pictured (I'm glad we got in to Gilbert's mind) as much as the nature. I've always envied Lucy Maud Montgomery the talent to describe so poetically the outside world and I think you also possess it.
All I lack in your fanfic is an apology from Anne for her behaviour towards Gilbert. He deserved it, don't you think?
And Roman Empire IS interesting, Mrs Linde! Look, someone has just „veni vidi vici” my heart!

Love it! Very, very in character. I like how Anne was determined to be friendly to Gilbert in order to offset Marilla's stubborn disbelief that she could do it, and how that turned into a real friendship.

I was totally ENRAPTURED by the story...and thought Marilla's character seems unusual...I loved her...You really are an excellent story writer...
