So I finally got around to watching the series, and have been combing the archives for great fics, and I have to say, this is one of the most interesting ones! Time and again, I wondered what Matt's dad would say or think about how his son grew up, and this answered the question perfectly. All the characters, their interactions, and their dialogue sounds completely natural and in character, to the point that I can imagine this being an actual episode. I really hope that you someday continue and finish this story, as it's the most unique, well written, and emotional story I've come across in the archive.

This story is exactly what I was searching for when I first started reading Daredevil Fanfiction. I have been following it since summer, eagerly waiting for the next chapter. I don't know why I didn't review sooner. I like all of the character insight that you write, giving us an idea of what the characters are thinking about in their situations. You are also spot on with how you write the characters. This is a great story, please continue it! I would love it if you updated.

So this is continuing! Yay! At last!

Although I haven't reviewed so, I've really enjoyed the plot and emotion put into this story. Sometimes the pace was a little too slow for me, but that would have been better said when I read those specific chapters.

This chapter was great at pushing the story forward and made me gasp internally. I don't have that much information about Daredevil from the comics, but I'm predicting that the person was Elektra because of her own daddy issues and how close she could have gotten to Matt in college. If so, I'm really excited because although I didn't give it that much thought, the resurrection aspect seemed a little outlandish for the TV show. This explanation helped that (plus I should have thought it through more). The rumor that Elektra might be in Season 2 makes this a cool AU if this plot does involve her.

It was nice to see Stick's interactions especially with the ice cream bracelet in mind and how two father figures of Matt's react to one another. The interesting part of their dynamic was how Stick is older and more knowledgeable and was almost fathering Jack in a way because of how similar the former is to Matt. It'd be like Thomas Wayne meeting Ra's al Ghul in the Nolan Batman universe. Both biological fathers are in a way powerless because of their deaths and their inability to have guided their loved ones.

I love how this chapter tied up things more and there's still the mystery to be unraveled at the same time.

Hi, i'm a huge fan of your story, and a lot of your other fics as well. I really like the quality all your stories have, and your characterisations. I really love how you've portrayed Jack and Father Lantom especially, as well as Matt. I also really liked how you portrayed Stick in this chapter here. I like how you made him so unsentimental. But you also didn't go to the other extreme and demonize him either.
I know he hurt Matt a lot, physically and emotionally, and I'm a hundred percent certain that he knew the effect it would have on him. That being said, i got the strong impression that he genuinely wants Matt to survive; that the cruelty, the advice, even the goading was not to make him miserable but to prepare him for this life. Because, let's face it, Stick is actually right about everything, the people close to Matt are now in danger, and there will, no doubt, come a time when everything he holds dear will be at stake. I think the fact that he told the guy he first killed that his family is better off without him supports this. And Matt was always going to be a warrior; he fought it for a long time, but, in the end, he couldn't help being who he was, and i'm sure Stick recognised that in him. I'm not going to justify all the horrible things he did to Matt, he is obviously a person who should not be around people (especially children) but i think, by now, the only way of life that he believes will work, is just surviving.
I'm not going to get into whether or not he really cares about Matt (he may have just left the bracelet to mess with his head again), because if he does care about him, i think he would squelch those feelings down as much as possible and not let them affect his judgement at all. I think the most he would ever let himself feel for Matt is, maybe, maybe, a sense of responsibility, which i think was how you portrayed it in your latest chapter.
Sorry for rambling. It was nice to get it all out of my system. I was looking forward to this chapter for a ling time, and you didn't disappoint. And thanks for implying that we'll be seeing more if Stick.

Aaaah, cliffhanger! Sorry it took me so long to review, but do not fear, friend- your writing is still wonderful! Great chapter. I loved the fact that you kind of managed to analyse Matt's character through Jack's confession, and I also really liked the parallels between Matt's accident and present day. I think my favourite characters that you write are Father Lantom and Foggy. You capture both of their voices very realistically and they always make me smile. I look forward to more, as usual! :) x
