The sad thing is, as satisfying as it was seeing Velvet get back at Cardin like that, it's probably not going to work out in the long-term. You can't just beat someone up for being a jerk, no matter how justified you feel you are in doing so. If she'd done it while he was pulling on her ears, or beating somebody up, then she could at least pass it off as an act of defense. But as it stands, she's probably going to get in trouble, and Cardin's probably going to be less likely to get in trouble for what she was beating him up over.

If someone's picking on you, tell an authority figure and let them handle it.

Every time I don't think your story can get any better, you prove me wrong. Seriously, I can't tell you how entertaining it is to watch Roman come up with a nearly foolproof plan only to have it fall apart and manage to survive by the skin of his teeth. He might not be the smartest guy around, but darn it, he does a bang up job of convincing you.
