This also needs to be fleshed out. You get the readers interested, then - nothing follows. Sigh.

This was a rather entertaining one shot and showed a world where people showed common sense. Furthermore, I believe that Ron really wasn't the best for Hermione as I suspect she would have abused him. 6th year with the canaries comes to mind here.

This is not a good one shot. It's the opening of a longer story. You set up a bunch of stuff, and then didn't complete anything. It's not a story, it's a half baked pilot.

To be perfectly honest the whole DA thing was so very stupid! I mean "Dumbelodre's Army?" That's gotta be the stupidest name for a group, naming a group after a so called leader of the light, who was actually a manipulative old fool? Still great story.

This story has some potential as a multi-chapter one. I do wonder what Harry and Susan were going to talk about. Hermione should've thought her plans through a little better, like coming up with a better charm on the contracts and a better meeting place where someone won't eavesdrop. Daphne proved to be better than Hermione with planning out the whole Dumbledore's Army thing.

You know ... I've never really liked the way Hermione handled the DA business. For constantly berating him about not taking his safety seriously, she hounded Harry mercilessly to tutor her and Ron, and then guilt tripped him into taking on others - despite knowing his every move was being scrutinized by Umbridge and he was repeatedly serving detention with her. She was sufficiently indiscreet in setting up her meeting that a ton of others found out about it.

Even when she realized how out-of-hand things had gotten, Hermione did nothing to protect Harry from impertinent idiots like Zacharias. She should have said there would be no Q&A period about the third task. Period. But she didn't. She could also have placed an intent-based charm on the meeting and the information, so that it disappeared from the minds of anyone who heard it but chose not to participate. That would have taken care of everyone, including Umbridge's little informant in the Hog's Head.

Hermione is fast to jump on Harry for being rash and putting himself in danger; but notice that SHE created this situation, despite the danger to Harry. Her revenge on squealers, too, was immature - it struck at the appearance, an area where Hermione was insecure - and was bound to cause trouble, despite knowing Harry would be the one to pay. I sometimes think Hermione is less worried about Harry's safety and more worried that he might have learned a spell or psomething to which she doesn't have access ... and she can't have that.

its true the contract was really short sighted sure you know who ratted you out but shouldn't the point of a contract like that be to PREVENT someone from running there mouth not punish them come on in a world with magic especially with silencing charms there's no way its not possible and its true Rowling put Hermione on a pedestal simply to satisfy her urge for a "girl power" character when the sad thing is she's an intolerant know it all no different than the purebloods that's not to say I hate her character I just think J.K's execution of her character was extremely bad I have read a few fics where I have liked Hermione but frankly characterization was not Rowling's strong suit...or plot, or world building or fight scenes or romance

I like this especially for the Hermione bashing. Although is it really bashing if it makes sense and is the truth.

I also like all the hate in some of the reviews from the butthurt Hermione fans.

i'd be interested in seeing where this was going, even if it is fairly anti-hermione. the only HP characters i actually dislike are Snape, Dumbledore, Ron, Percy, and Molly. that's not too say people like Draco or Voldemort aren't assholes, but they're supposed to be assholes.
