i dont want matteo to ever stop trying to kill tsuna lol auuuuugh no like tsuna can figure his broken heart out and all but i want matteo to stay badass forever and not ditch his goals for tsunas friendship because it kinda makes parts of his past pointless and thats kinda really awfulllll

Well, the big change is them being in university. Still, I'm a bit annoyed that everything is exactly the same, with the same plot, even though you have the canon characters be older, in a different school and you added Matt. All those changes would've created a butterfly effect enough to make the story seem... well, less like I'm reading the manga through the perspective of an added character. I kind of expected more changes? I dunno, maybe Gokudera is introduced differently, Takeshi doesn't try to kill himself (or he just does it differently). A bit of diversity in a story is good. As it is, the most interesting parts where of Matteo's chilhood, while everything after meeting Tsuna is too close to the manga to be of interest. I would really advise you to incorporate more changes to make this more exciting.

the story is well-written, the characters are flawless and there is no OOCness to be seen, and you're great at writing all kinds of scenes and making the emotion come out right. Butt he plot needs more work, because as it is it doesn't feel that different from canon.

Will he turn out like his brother? Dismiss Toni and come to prefer Tsuna, like Giorgio dismissed his little brother in favour of Enrico? It would be pretty damn ironic.

This is so sad! But realistic. It shows how difficult it can be to make friends, and then lose them. The loneliness truly comes out well here, and strikes a cord. Makes the reader feel for the character.

You know, the first chapter didn't really have any plot-important info. I skimmed it, and really started paying attention when the second chapter came. Honestly, you could delete the first chapter and we wouldn't miss anything important. The start of the story would bve abrupt, but it would be nice to get straight to plot instead of going on and on about the birth and childhood of chapter 1, which didn't have any real use, plot-wise.

I am interested in how this will play out. Perhaps Enrico won't die in this reality, or he dies later, thus Reborn comes for Tsuna later, and Tsuna is a bit older and differnet? There are so many possibilities.
