 Jennifer Hubbard chapter 1 . 7/10 a little note, when you describe Harry's room from 1661, you describe a modern room, at the time there would not have been a soft carpet, at most one made of wool, no library or children's books, at least not as we understand them. and when you describe the portrait ... well, the clothes are totally out of date. the women had no sandals, and the gentlemen would never have gone around with unbuttoned shirts, plus there were no children's rompers, until they started walking the clothes were the same for both sexes, of the nightgown species. later they would have knee-length pants for boys and mid-calf or knee-length skirts for girls. the rest of the first chapter is not bad, even if it is perhaps a little quick. |
