Wow that was some episode! Does anyone have any idea when the second half of the season airs? I live in the US and I have to watch it on line.

Wow, another great piece. The last line gave it a wonderful finish. Loved it.

A very very cool story. Scotty really does adore his lil brothers (I have visions of when each baby was brought home, a tiny Scott pointed at it and said "mine") and we can see how proud he is of them.

Beautiful as usual, and I love the last line! Trust Virgil to think of something totally practical.

WHAT AN EPISODE! Scott Tracy. WINKING. **dead**

oh, I love this. There are just enough feels without going soppily overboard. There's our confident flyboy Scott showing some of his inner emotions, being not just the gung-ho adrenaline junkie that he seems to be in TAG, but an experienced pilot doing his best in difficult circumstances. One thing I was unsure about in Heav Metal was Scott not knowing how to pull out of a dive. I thought his USAF training would have kicked in, but he seemed totally ignorant of what to do until Alan said "Do what I did when I slingshot around the sun." I know it was contrived so that Alan could help out, but I still think Scott would not have been so "duh, what happens now?" But that's the writers of TAG and nothing to do with this story which is wonderful.

It's clear that Alan hero-worships Scott and any praise from his big brother is like water to a parched man in the desert. In TAG there is less of the Scott/Virgil bond and more of a Virgil/Gordon bond and Scott/Alan bond. But that's okay- it works. You get to see awesome closeness between the brothers.

It was great when Gordon, swinging around and unable to get a grip on the collider, shot it with missiles instead! Although I do hope he was kidding when he said TB4 wasn't insured o.O

Love this whole story, and kudos for writing it so fast after the episode.

That was epic! And so was the episode! I'm not entirely sure I breathed throughout the whole thing. Heart pounding, adrenaline inducing awesomeness! DVDs arrive Monday! Woop woop! And no I'm not currently watching it right at this moment again! But yeah, this story (sorry, distracted there) was brilliant, lovely relationships, just how I picture them! Spot on. But am I gutted we'll have no more of your wonderful tags until autumn! :'-(
