Reviews for Our Blades Are Sharp
jgkitarel chapter 5 . 7/16
Nicely done, Domeric, nicely done. Wait until the right time, then strike. And in a way that can't be pointed to you, though Theon will learn that it was you, as you want him to know the price of provoking you.
Alphros chapter 66 . 7/14
Well, I feel sorry for Myrcella and I wish that Catelyn had come to some sort of unfortunate end, but I certainly enjoyed this story and am very much looking forward to reading the sequel.
anastasia.omalley chapter 66 . 7/10
I have read this story through in a matter of days and loved every second of it! Your characters are vivid and accurate portrayals, and their gradual changes over the course of events are believable. I was spellbound by Sansa's growth, and her growing relationship with Dom.
But the couple that crept up on me was Robb and Myrcella. When their betrothal was announced I truly didn't expect much more than a bland courtship with little depth. (More fool me!) I watched the little moments grow until I was left weeping at their heartache. The scene where she greets Grey Wind was particularly poignant.
I love your 'ripple effect' to storytelling, where a change here sets three more things in motion, or takes characters out of play because they weren't in place for a moment that arrived earlier.
I would say more, but I have a sequel to begin...
HannibalBarcaReborn chapter 48 . 7/8
BTW, the Bolton Helm is called a 'Narrowed' or 'English' Sallet.
The sallet being the main helm seen in the Northmen in the show.
LordStark5 chapter 64 . 7/4
Okay, so when Jon and Dacey are talking about the Targaryens, there's a few things wrong. First, Maegor I was never exiled. He did face a ton of conflict and opposition yes, and afterwards, Jaeherys I ended all Targaryen customs of Polygamy, but he was never exiled (unless it was during the reign of his brother Aenys I). Second, Prince Duncan the Small is Jon's great, great uncle, specifically not what one consider their ancestor in this case.
LordStark5 chapter 63 . 7/4
I love the irony at the beginning. It is hinted in the main story that the Bolton tradition of flaying particularly Starks came from them not seeing Skinchanging as being natural, and thus would skin the skinchanger.
LordStark5 chapter 55 . 7/4
While yes, Davos going around to recruit people to Stannis's cause isn't too much of an issue (though traveling to Riverrun probably isn't too practical), what is an issue is the fact that he tells them that Ned declared for Stannis. While this info did seemingly get leaked in the show, and Jon and Stannis do mention it, in the books, Robb specifically didn't know that Ned had tried to put Stannis on the throne, or that Stannis was the true heir. It wasn't until him reading Stannis's letter that he may have come to realize that Stannis was the rightful heir and Joffrey wasn't.
And why would Ned have been able to get word to Stannis, and why would Davos telling them at this point change a thing then? That info would've been with Domeric and Sansa (and thus, Davos's presence here is redundant as they would already know), or in this scenario Ned actually managed to get word out which seems a stretch considering that Ned's biggest problem during AGOT was the fact that he was crunched for time, and specifically didn't have time to do things like send Sansa and Arya away, or flee, or get word to Stannis.
LordStark5 chapter 54 . 7/4
I'm not sure why the Lannisters are offering terms that are unreasonable like taking Theon on as a ward. You had in a previous chapter Keven wanting to have Robb serve on the Small Council, and if one were to be serving on the Small Council, they might bring retainers and companions, one of whom would likely be Theon. Who Theon is with wouldn't be an issue in this case as he's in King's Landing all the same.
The Hero named Villain chapter 66 . 7/2
Binged in two days! Domeric ignore stark honor is for the arrogant

Warg together war together

Poor myc no fairy tale ending for you
LordStark5 chapter 38 . 6/25
Erm...
The Black Cells weren't understaffed. They were way over staffed. They had 29 goalers for 6 prisoners Jaime discovers in Feast, and only half ever even show up for work.
Guest chapter 65 . 6/1
So will a viper, a frog, and Arstan Whitebeard all bump into Daenerys?...
ianramos22 chapter 66 . 5/25
excellent story going to start part two.
icebluesilk chapter 57 . 5/18
I love how you made Domeric a very likable character without compromising his identity as Bolton and what that means.
Touhara Naoya chapter 24 . 4/5
Yeah, another story where nothing changes. And I suppose when everything goes to shit in King's Landing, the Boltons will be useless and Domeric will have to get Sansa back from Joffrey? Fun.
Glamroidz chapter 12 . 3/12
Oh god all this Dom and Sansa mushy romance is really getting old. I don’t mind a few scenarios every few chapters, but to have EVERY SINGLE FUCKING chapter. Good god
