This is my favorite Pokemon fic of all time, thank you so much.

I'm actually crying. This is beautiful, all of it. I will never see Red or Green in the same way again, and if I ever end up writing something with them I won't be able to get out your versions of them out of my head. They are the canon Red and Green now, along with this entire story.

Again, I don't know how else to thank you for this wonderful fic, and I don't know if I could explain with words what this story means to me.

I feel like I need to lie down after every one of these chapters because they're so... I don't know exactly how to describe it, they make me feel a lot of things. I absolutely adore the way you portray these characters, the way you realistically paint how Red interacts with others, and the way others might not understand him clearly.

This might be one of my favorite ideas for a fic I've seen set in Kanto. I love how you handle both Red and Green's characters and explore a bit more of the famous life of many of these trainers. The forum disputes are especially hilarious considering I can see them happening in real life too.

This is one of 3 Pokemon fics I've favourited, and the only one I actually reread.

Oh. My. God. I found this fic this morning and took a few hours to finish it, and... Holy crap, it is AMAZING!
I love how Red isn't just...mute... Even if it makes sense to not talk at ALL, it doesn't make for a good story... And besides, if he's mute, then how would he command his Pokemon?
No, this explanation is MUCH better. Is this condition a real thing? I'm really impressed if it is and if you did your research!
I love how his condition has repercussions. I love how people don't sidestep the issue. Even Lance is an asshole, despite always being portrayed as this unflappable, suave figure. Bruno is ignorant of his condition and acts accordingly, but still shows his true colors- his kind colors. Lorelei is patient and kind. Misty is sooo sweet- that's so her! Green gets tired of protecting Red and leaves him, even though he cares... He's done with being left alone because he wants to act justly. That's really quite realistic.
And I love how you drew some from the anime, but not too much. Squirtle Squad? Misty's sisters? Delia and Giovanni? (Though that one's more Pokemon Live! than anything.) It's there, but not in your face. And when Red traded Meowth away for Charizard, I saw then what you'd been doing... Building his Mt. Silver team.
That trade was symbolic of leaving the past behind for the future- Red's heritage, Green's cockiness, their rivalry, their friendship.
And the scene with Mew and Mewtwo was so touching. In general, I love how you characterized Mewtwo. At times, even I want to write him as distant, yet cool and logical. A Dan Green sort of character, the cold, harsh mentor who still _feels_ down in there, feels strongly and is afraid to show it. It's so easy to forget that he's a savage creature, an amalgam of human and legendary DNA., the two most savage types of beings there are. Perhaps I project myself onto Mewtwo somewhat... But you wrote him so well.
Also, not gonna lie, it was HILARIOUS how Agatha roasted Prof. Oak!
Finally, I just want to say great job... I guess it's apparent by my gushing, but I want to make it clear... This is an amazing story.

You did an amazing job with this! You really captured the struggle red went through and the emotional hurt and trauma that he HAD to go through in order to isolate himself up on mt. Silver. I'm almost at a loss for words with how amazing this was (full disclosure, I cried a few times). Seriously, awesome work here!

This was beautiful. I typically avoid yaoi stories but it was so intricately and subtly done in such a phenomenal manner that my inner romantic won me over. Additionally the undertones didn't make the story but only enhanced it. Fantastic job bad I am totally interested in exploring your other fics. My only question is why did Red not get an Espeon? Was it a deviation for your own plot purposes?

This story is honestly so amazing it needs more love.

I love the whole idea of it. Your characterization was amazing and it spoke out in a lot of ways to me. Red is usually portrayed as the 'strong and silent type' as Green put it, but this alternative character reading for him is really refreshing. Red's thoughts, fears, and desperations came across clearly even though they may have not been expressed in the best way – and that's really wonderful considering the build-up towards the last chapter. I absolutely agree that Red reaching out for his own happiness and dragging himself back down from the mountain was the best way to end this story.

I also have to commend you on your imagery. Especially Red's self-imposed choice between the pokedex, the invitation, and the fame checker. It was a big moment for the story and I think the scene was really cleverly done. The parallels between Red and Mewtwo was amazing too, since Red comes across more as one of the pokemon than a human and Mewtwo is, well, Mewtwo.

My only complain, however, is you not elaborating on what happened to Cubone by the end.

As someone who isn't exactly a social butterfly myself this story really spoke to me, it was so well done I read the whole thing in a single night without stopping, like by the time I finished it was 3 in the morning, which I rarely do these days anyway. So thank you for this wonderful story.

Just found this fic, finished it and cried (at least as much as a OG like me can). This was beautifully written, and while I was introduced to Pokemon via Gold and Silver, I still got all the nostalgia feels. Speech impaired Red, really spoke to me, no pun intended, as i struggle with I bit of a speech impairment myself. There so many things right with this Pokefic and I hope that you would take a peak at mine when I finally get it posted. Thanks for providing me with a night of solid reading!

Thank you for the update! At first I thought it was Yellow, but then you said she was from Pallet. Maybe I just don't know my Pokemon manga universe well enough and this is more based on the games, right? Green and Red's trade made me cry. I can't wait to see what will happen to Mewtwo. Hopefully it'll be free like the Pokemon movies. I like how you mentioned of Silver, a good load off of Red's shoulders :)
