This is the first time I've read this story and I absolutely love it! You captured Sadness's personality, perfectly! I'm wondering if you can return the favor, by reading and reviewing mine, please? It's titled Controlled by Fear.

This was really nice and just such a fantastic read. Everything happening was very believable and detailed, and it was just really sweet to read through all of this. Amazing job on this, I'd read this again any day just to enjoy it once more.

I remember Fear mentioning in Responsible that he's noticed that Sadness checks on the others in their sleep when she's doing Dream Duty (a really sweet detail, might I add), so it was really cool to see that expanded upon in one of your other stories and to see her perspective on it this time rather than Fear's. The sentiment that people are most honest with themselves in their sleep was a really wise one, and I definitely agree with Sadness when she reflects that there's a quiet power in being able to care for others when she recalls her treasured memory of soothing Fear back to sleep.

I loved the attention to detail in moments like when Sadness mentions that both Anger and Joy talk in their sleep or when Dream Productions is having camera issues. The cameo from Anger was great and had spot-on dialogue from him, and Joy's sleep-talking about marshmallow hockey pucks and rainbow teddy bears really entertained me. Well done!

oh, sadness you do have a purpose. without you people wouldn't know what they did was wrong or feel guilty about it, and without you people wouldn't miss they're loved ones and in turn knowing that they love them. so make no mistake you so DO have a purpose. *hugs*

I thought I'd poke around the Inside-Out fanfics to see what I could find, and I'm glad I did! This was such a nice fanfic-the writing flowed well and everyone was completely in-character! I liked seeing how Sadness would interact with the other emotions, especially Fear. You got her empathy spot-on! Awesome work!

I really like the idea of Sadness being insightful of the others' habits. I've seen a few pics cover her that way. I also really like her going out of her way to be kind to Fear - it kinda matches up with how sad people feel better if they make someone else happy.
