Honestly I could see this turning into a long multi chapter. You didn’t write it that way, but an OOC Cersei who instead of dragging everyone down to the injustices she’s suffered sees a girl who still has the spirit to want to fight with a sword, who hasn’t been married off like a brood mare, and fights to keep her that way. Jaime who sees a bastard son with no honor to his name and teaches him how to wield a sword. Teaches him to not give a damn about what other people say. All the while the Queen and Kingsguard give them excuses to be together and the four of them keep each other’s secrets.

Interesting story with clever reversal of perspective. As other reviewers have pointed out, GRRM's original plot proposal included a Jon/Arya incestuous pairing. I don't know if there is much room to expand this vignette, though, except in a really lemony direction. ;)

A hilarious note on the reviews is how several readers had values dissonance over the ages and age difference of Jon and Arya. lol They're (as far as they know) brother and sister. people. If that doesn't fully squick the pairing for you, how does the age difference matter? "Pretty sisters are a man's downfall.? rofl

I love the comparison between the two couples very much and how all the characters look like them. I especially like the way Cersei was handled how she at the end was able to relate to the stark lovers and keep their secret. Your writing is very beautiful. Perhaps you should write more stories about Arya & Jon.

While I'm more of a Jon/Sansa fan, I can appreciate the idea. Out of everything that might even come close to stirring Cersei's heart, that would probably do it.

LOLed at Jaime's thoughts about how "pretty sisters are a man's undoing!" :) I've always thought that Jaime sees his relationship with his sister as something that he can't prevent... it just is! And I can easily imagine him thinking that sentence, in that context! :)
And I also enjoyed reading about cersei being a nice person, who, for the sake of love, lets an important tactical information slip!
Nice story, plot and dialogue! good job!

This was very beautiful, in the most unconventional sort of way. Sort of like Arya's beauty lol. I think I would very much love to continue on with a story like this. The possibilities are incredible and possibly quit endless. Depends of course, on the path you take. I believe my favorite part of your story was all the times Jaime described Arya. So elegantly put, like i said, truly beautiful. I had to make sure I was prepared before I read this one-shot lol. I follow Maisie on Instagram, so I wanted to have her older look in mind when I read this. She is a very pretty girl and Kit a very pretty boy lol, so I think in a Fanfiction sense, they make a very intriguing pair. Very very good job, I love this 100%.
