It took me two days of staying up till 6 AM to read all of this and I don't regret a single thing. It's one of the best fanfics I've ever read, it's realistic and have the character development that I long for.

How old is Itachi in this chapter? 19? 20?
He feels in-character (and smarter than in canon), but I'm curious about his age.

I do hope my boy Itachi gets his girl though, I really enjoy their growth and interactions

I feel sorry for Nagato. He sucks at diplomacy so he gets fucked by everyone. He should have left Konoha dead after the attack. That would have given him a strong negotiation position. He didn't. So he has nothing but his personal strength now.

Apart from that, well I don't think his cause is hopeless. Just that his means don't work.

It's not that I have a problem with Sakura learning Hiraishin, but the way you wrote it into the story was just way too rushed. With her genjutsu abilities, we got entire chapters dedicated to how she was constantly practicing and learning new techniques from Gozen, but with the Hiraishin you brought it up ONCE as a footnote in one of her conversations with Kakashi, and suddenly she knows how to use it a few chapters later. For a technique that famous, important, and complex, there should have been multiple scenes depicting Sakura struggling and eventually learning to master it. This was the Fourth Hokage's SIGNATURE JUTSU and you've just handed it to Sakura on a silver platter with absolutely no build-up, which comes off as incredibly jarring.

Otherwise, great story. Definitely worth all the recommendations.
