cardcaptor-kanna chapter 17 . 6/14
Love it! I’ll start your other fic, but I have to say what drew me to this one, as it might be a bit surprising:

In 1981, a horror-ish movie called An American Werewolf in London was released. I LOVED that movie. I was curious to see if your story would follow that more (in that movie, a werewolf attacks these 2 Americans in London, kills 1, and the other becomes a werewolf), but I was pleasantly surprised that I was wrong!

I was half-expecting a Legomance, but I can roll with this and hope something develops later down the road. Keep it up!

The Black Cat 666 chapter 16 . 3/29
Oh wow. I'd forgotten I'd been following this one. It was pretty good, and I look forward to the next version! Good on you for being able to pick it back up again after all this time!
SuriGuri chapter 16 . 3/28
it might not be a new chapter but it's always good to know an author is still up an at 'em! looking forward to hearing about any update in the future.
Rui chapter 15 . 3/14
My sincere apologies to hear that, but a piece of advice that I tactfully use is planning structure, such as giving a thought to how each paragraph within the Chapter alters for example beginning, cut scene between the beginning and middle, middle, in between and end.

Key in mind is time management, which is how I progress with my stories enabling me to start and finish a Chapter within due time the story. So in a more simpliar summary of my advice is to time manage, even though I'm currently off task between my stories and studies I've frequently managed to set up a Chapter after another.

Anyhow I hope to read another chapter shortly, whether it's another year or so, I'm patient to withstand the time of others, as that is a common challenge all Writers and Readers, Good Luck and remember Time manage and preparation is a key.

Kind Regards Rui

continue and update please
SuriGuri chapter 15 . 6/22/2018
good to see you're still active! as for my vote - my immediate instinct is to say post right away, but if the story will make more sense when read with the updated chapters first, then i'd say wait until everything's fully updated. good luck with your work!
fantasywind chapter 14 . 6/7/2018
I haven't checked the story for a while, and you didn't update for a long time too :). I must say I like that last chapter very much :), very well written (and big plus for talking Eagle hehe, in the book the Eagles even take the company to their nests on high eyries, in fact Eagles are a 'people' in their own right so to speak, it's a shame that adaptations don't try to depict that, the only derivative work that did something nice with great eagles was video game War in the North, where players get a companion Great Eagle named Beleram to help fight hehe, in book lore of course we have names of individual Eagles, Gwaihir Windlord, his brother Landroval, both descendants of mighty Thorondor of First Age whose wingspan was...30 fathoms, meaning 180 feet). Anyway I can't wait to see how the relations between Meara and Beorn will look like. Beorn is very powerful, but he is more of a voluntary shapeshifter than a 'were-bear' :), he assumes bear form at will, not to mention that he seems to possess other magical abilities, he could talk with animals and master them, breeding 'magical' ones (and bees larger than thumb hehe), he could possibly do some enchantments or illusions, though it's speculative. He certainly had huge size and strength, he was almost invulnerable in a fight as The Hobbit book describes, nothing could harm him (possibly he could also manipulate the size of his bear form). Tolkien wrote of him: "Though a skin-changer and no doubt a bit of a magician, Beorn was a Man'"; I also imagined him differently (didn't like much his movie design, for me the old artworks of him work better, showing a huge man with black beard, kind of like more intimidating Hagrid hehe).

I like how the Meara and Alby's relationship is going and that Bilbo befriends the little Warg pup :), it's actually fascinating considering that Bilbo was always a bit scared of wolves Wargs especially, as told in the book.

"One of his elder cousins (on the Took side), who had been a great traveller, used to imitate it to frighten him. To hear it out in the forest under the moon was too much for Bilbo."

Also Shire was once attacked by White Wolves:

"2911
The Fell Winter. The Baranduin and other rivers are frozen. White Wolves invade Eriador from the North."

The Lord of the Rings, Appendix B, The Tale of Years: The Third Age

"Except on the high moors of the Northfarthing a heavy [snow] fall was rare in the Shire, and was regarded as a pleasant event and a chance for fun. No living hobbit (save Bilbo) could remember the Fell Winter of 1311, when the white wolves invaded the Shire over the frozen Brandywine."

The Fellowship of the Ring, LoTR Book 2, Ch 3, The Ring Goes South

"The Brandybucks were blowing the Horn-call of Buckland, that had not been sounded for a hundred years, not since the white wolves came in the Fell Winter, when the Brandywine was frozen over."

The Fellowship of the Ring, LoTR Book 1, Ch 11, A Knife in the Dark. whether those were Wargs specifically we're not told though it's implied, who knows they might be an ancient white breed of Wargs that once were part of forces of Angmar under rule of the Witch-king, it is said he gathered more than Orcs and Trolls and Men to serve him (of course there are 'ordinary' wolves as in normal animals in Middle-earth too, those specially bred by dark powers, intelligent/sapient demonic wolves and Werewolves were the biggest problem, much, much more dangerous and powerful: ". . . the evil creatures came even to Beleriand, over passes in the mountains, or up from the south through the dark forests. Wolves there were, or creatures that walked in wolf-shapes, and other fell beings of shadow."
...and Sauron brought werewolves, fell beasts inhabited by dreadful spirits that he had imprisoned in their bodies." What's more fascinating Sauron the Dark Lord was also 'lord of werewolves', turning Tol Sirion into...Tol-in-Gaurhoth, the Isle of Werewolves, and he, the Necromancer is right now several hundreds of miles away south in Mirkwood at Dol Guldur weaving his webs of fear and treachery hehe, it would be interesting to glimpse how he could affect Meara personally, or maybe not, maybe it would be better to keep Sauron at the fringes of story :) he is too powerful, too cunning and magnificent villain, though his influence and shadow, and countless plots and schemes hang over everything). I like that Bilbo and Alby get to make friends, it's something entertaining. Also I like the introduced subplot of Meara's werewolf rival and the witch, this will certainly spice things up :).

MOOOORRREEEEE! I need more...please.
Redrift chapter 14 . 11/21/2016
This is an amazing story idea, and so far you have written it amazingly as well. I enjoy every aspect of it so far, and the fact that there is no cheesy romance butting into the actual plot like with the majority of fanfics. I hope things get better on your end, and I also hope that you do return to this story.
ex-ellent chapter 14 . 11/5/2016
