This was an amazing story! I love how you went through each episode, but Post-episode as well so we could see the growing connection of d'Artagnan with the Inseparables, to see the trials they went through to become "family". Great work.

Glad I read both and got the epilogue to this, it tore my heart out but you complimented each other and this... I'm sure they wished it hadn't been so quick for him as those three wouldn't be the only ones looking to get to him for what he did. 10/10 again. 3

Gah! Your grasp of the characters was spot on the enitre time. I despised how long it took Athos to warn up, but it fit really well.

Awesome story : the way the past is interwoven with the present brings out the progression of the guys' friendship(s) and how it came to be... Well done ! :-D

It's so hard to think of Richelieu as a 'man of God'. He should be, but he's not.

Anyone ever wonder where Athos gets all his coin for wine? It's like he's got a bottomless purse or something. How would he have an income other than being a Musketeer when he gave up his title?

"Even more reason for the second person to be one of us." Porthos,... ouch. Good thing d'Artagnan didn't overhear that one.

Athos inept at making friends. Aramis is so accurate.

When Athos said, "... if you are to stay in our company..." I half expected d'Artagnan to blow up at him. "In your company? My presence is tolerated. Only one of you is even friendly with me. But I have never been 'in your company'!" Okay, maybe it sounded better in my head, but that is what I was expecting.

Had never thought of d'Artagnan considering Porthos guilty, as much as him factoring in that it was possible for someone as inebriated from alcohol - as Porthos had been - to not remember something they'd done. Either way, liked how it was Porthos who was the one to right things between them... or at least as right as this group can seem to get.

d'Artagnan must have some very interesting boots he keeps having to look at.
