Oh bloody hell! THAT was hilarious, as heart breaking this is supposed to be, I just couldn't help but laugh hysterically throughout as the whole ordeal escalated. Just it's so ironic, how the roles completely reversed at the end , with the difference that Castiel completely has no feeling for Dean anymore. Just perfect. 10/10 . Just goes to show your actions and words have consequences even if you don't mean it, just one wrong step and things can't never change no matter how you cry, regret, beg for it. It really is one of the 'what if's. I couldn't help but shout " That's what you get for shoving him away, you son of a bitch. Now he moved on and you can't. This was what you wanted at the start and the near end of the story, wasn't it? "

Dean wakes up and it’s all a dream put into his mind by Gabriel to force him to act on his feelings. Dun Dun Dun! Then he actually acts on his feelings for Cas. That would be awesome. Instead you decide to take away Cas’ feelings for dean you horrible human.

Noooooo! But then Cas rips out the tubes from his arms, causing the monitors to set off alarms. He runs down the hall like a bloodhound following a scent. Cas wildly pushes open the hospital doors and spots Dean kneeling on the asfalt, head tilted down. "Dean!" He yells as he falls to his knees to face Dean and grabs him strongly by the shoulders. Dean's jaw laid open and Cas could see the blood on his lips. The angel looked up the singular white petal on the ground to see tears welling up in green eyes. "I was too late and now... Damnit!" Dean caught his face in his hands and sobbed into them. Cas eagerly pulled Dean into a tight embrace. It took a moment for Dean to realize, but Cas was humming "Hey, Jude", and he was being held by the angel. Dean shot back, pushing away from the warmth. "But... you, I thought..." Dean could hardly form his thoughts into coherant sentences. Cas said nothing when he pulled away the collar of his hospital shirt and smudged the surgery mark that was made with nothing but some stage makeup. Dean's tears streamed down his cheeks and we're not being found by Cas' finger tips. "I had to force your hand. I'm sorry, Dean. But you were just being so stubborn. It was Charlie's idea." The gruff voice was so soothing to the hunter and he happily collapsed into his angels arms. The End. (please don't hate. My soul needed this.)

Man, this is really good, i mean the writing and the plot? Come on! They're brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!

And you've somehow managed to put /humor/ into this heartbreakingly beautiful story of yours!

And it is, truely, heartbreaking, completely devastating! Oh, it made me thrush around my bed screaming internally at Dean to just fuckin' admit it to himself and save Cas!

And that plot twist at the end? Terrible! I really thought he'd get to Cas in time! And then that he got the disease? Oh it pains my heart just thinking about it!

So well done, well done you soulless motherfucker. You just broke everybody who reads this's heart.

Thank you for giving Dean a legitimate reason to fight his feelings for Cas. It would be beyond difficult to shake off the damage from a lifetime of parental abuse, even to save a friend. Heartbreaking.
