Reviews for Across the Universe
Richard Ryley chapter 4 . 9/19/2016
The scene where Akane shouts "PERVERT!" and shoots him in the face is pure Akane, but I think there needed to be more moments like that. Of course, for all I know that happened in the movie as well.

I did like Akane sacrificing herself at the end, although there she was the more experienced soldier charging the enemy, not a dehydrated doll throwing herself at Saffron to give Ranma a fighting chance.

Fun! I love that movie! Great job, and thanks for writing.
Guest chapter 4 . 9/18/2016
This is well done, but it's not really a Ranma story at all. It's just Edge of Tomorrow with the names changed.
akrim chapter 4 . 9/18/2016
I just watched that movie just because of you and honestly it wasn't half bad :D So thanks for that!

I liked that story very much, too :D With Akane being the stronger one for once. Still, my all time favourite will always stay the second chapter :D

Keep up this amazing work!
Akrim chapter 3 . 9/10/2016
This deserves a lot more reviews! I liked the endig a lot, no malleting Ranma. That was great. I totally like them cuddling like that :D
Akrim chapter 2 . 9/10/2016
I love this chapter so damn much. I think this is pretty much possible with everything Akane's been through. I've read this one like a year ago and it seems forgot to put it on my favourite list and now I've been searching for it like for a week now and damn was the search worth it! I just love it. You have a great writing style and damn did I mention how much I love this one?
Underlined chapter 2 . 8/17/2016
I really like how chapter 2: Rise was written, with little snippets of the relevant events.

Richard Ryley chapter 3 . 12/30/2015
I don't know, I liked that the ending was short. There is so much that is implied, though. Ranma slipping into Akane's bed and her "you could have woken me up" implies that they've been sleeping together for a while, and not just to keep away nightmares. Of course, that makes it seem like Akane's a little late to the party, wondering about how much she worries about Ranma, but maybe she just hasn't had time to think about it until now.

Your use of tense is a little unusual. Present tense with references to the present perfect. Maybe you're experimenting, though. I'm not sure the tense is wrong, just I'm used to writing in the past tense, and thus past perfect.
James Birdsong chapter 3 . 12/29/2015
Excellent two drabbles.
Nath08 chapter 2 . 9/7/2015
I liked this chapter ! You could make a sequel from this one ! It could be good! Please continue!
Guest chapter 2 . 9/6/2015
Your depiction of PTSD is pretty authentic. Good work. One thing to note is that mental health is still, unfortunately, something of a taboo topic in Japan. Seeking treatment for emotional and psychological issues remains a fairly unusual thing.
Guest chapter 1 . 9/6/2015
In the first scene, the way it's written makes it seem like Nabiki's the one who's "with someone else now."

I've thought about that scene in Cast Away many times, and here's the thing: Finding out that the love of your life is still alive is as good a reason as any to get a divorce. It's actually a better reason than many people have. So it's entirely possible that, in the long term, they would have ended up together anyway. The same thing applies here. It might not be fair to Daisuke - and why do authors always seem to pick him as Akane's fallback guy when Ranma's gone? - but the heart wants what the heart wants. It's ultimately better for everyone to be true to your feelings.
Guest chapter 2 . 9/6/2015
I really liked this. I also believe this would have affected Akane. She went through so much. I especially liked the scene at the beach. Great job!
