I love to see the jealous Kate! But, to be thinking Lanie would do such a thing, she was really feeling lost. I would have liked to hear her talk with Castle though!

I think you handled this prompt really well. I've entertained ideas of a Castle/Lanie friendship but I've never really imagined what it would look like during this time frame. You've painted a compelling picture. Well done.

I liked it, especially that you didn't make Lanie act like a bitch with Beckett and taking a side between her and Castle, she knows she made mistakes but it is understandable after all she has been through.
I would love to see a real friendship like this between the characters on the show, because Lanie and Kate seem to be friends only once or twice every season, and I've never felt like Castle was friend with Ryan and Espo (or Lanie). I like the relationship between Kate and the boys though, but I would like to see more, like all of them hanging out together outside of work but I don't think it will ever happen :/

Seriously how pathetic is this man? 45 years old, not a friend on his own so he has to whine to Beckett's best friend about how terrible she is to him ? Like I said, it's pathetic. I'll never understand what is supposed to be attracting about him anyway.

I love this, it's so nice to see a member of that group having Castle's back and being there for him. I think it's great that Lanie was there for Castle when Kate disappeared after she got shot. It always bugs me that his emotional state from that time was pushed aside, it was like he wasn't the one who was shot so his feeling don't matter. I can only imagine how emotionally devastating it would be to watch someone you love get shot, then flat line, and then disappear for three months with no way for you to know if they are ok or not. So yeah I am glad Castle had Lanie to help him through that.

I am so glad that Lanie called Kate out on the whole you aren't a cop you wouldn't understand thing, because I always thought that was such a horribly unfair thing for them to say. Castle is as much a part of that team as any of them and drives me nuts that never seem to remember that and they push him aside.

Lol Lanie couldn't care less about Castle, I've never seen anything close to friendship between them. Her "Are you sure ?" to Kate in Probable cause showed how much she likes the guy ;)

I like vex this story and this chapter. It always bothers me when they act like Castle can't understand because he isn't a cop. He has been with them long enough and been through tough situations with them so I think he does "get it." Just because he doesn't have a badge, doesn't mean he doesn't understand. I wish just once he would tell them off, especially Esposito. I am interested to see where this goes. I would love to see Castle stand up for himself against them all.

Lanie is one of my favorite characters on the show, and I love Castle/Lanie friendship fics. This one was really good! Thanks for sharing!

Gosh I so wish Lanie had been this supportive and solid on the show in seasons 4-5! This was great.
