I really hope you are doing alright after all this time and i just want to say fantastic story and it capitalise the core aspect of each character...especially their ability and skills...The intrraction was also quite well done...I am curious to see how it ends and hope you may again pick up the story when you could...Though can kinda see Jaune sacrificing himself for the rest of them since...There are so many flags...The one chosen to end the threat, everyone hoping to go back under his command...the gals wanting to be with him...He is the only one who has a weapon that can sink battleship with his hunter and thats with 1/5 as you stated so if he overload it all and maybe link it to one of the rainbow dust its not beyond impossibility for him to sink the entire queen colony and maybe the core of the grims in the subspace cause he realise others might capitalise on it as well...he will either shove all the rest in the shuttles and make it wrap by using penny and captain directive to overwrite which normally would have on advance ships or he take one of the fighter with a rainbow dust and go to core by himself and order penny to send everyone else back home...I can see either one...with him probably popping out of the subspace after awhile maybe a year or two...although if its with the nagato kai its probably best since it would be declared dwstroyed and he can take as his own vessel upon repairing it ...probably with qrow and the twins as their appreciation for helping save them n basically tons of galaxy planets.. He did hinted he want to continue his journey and he would as remnant first proper exploretory vessel...not under remnant but associated with it i guess or a contracted vessel with remnant spacy...They also might award jaune with higher rank post mortem since they wont know he died ...probably get general or admiral or something along with some stars...haih hope to see it updated again cause so much potential for it and hope all is well with you !

I know I’m late to the party but this is a good story. Also I read some of the comments and I just want to say this: Atlas1765, lightyears is a measure of distance, not time (to be precise a light year is the distance light travels in a year.) so no, them jumping 35 light years does not mean 35 years have passed on earth. It just means that’s how far they traveled. If they had traveled 35 light years at the speed of light THEN you would be correct, but 35 years would also pass on board the ship, and all around the galaxy.

Holy moly. I just did some math on light year travel. when they jump 35 light years, about 35-40 years passed at earth. now his parents are dead and his sisters are in their 50s, probably with kids. Ironwood is probably dead along with everyone on the board. .-.

I was hoping to read about a climatic final battle between the crew of the Nagato Kai and Cinder's forces, then a triumphant return to the colonies where Raven is already there waiting for them.

Then drama happens...
