Wow, this was beautiful from start to finish! There are so many poetic lines that took my breath away - it's amazing how much emotion you condensed into so few words. And you represented Zuko so well, my gosh. His pride and shame and rage and desperation and determination all came through with painful clarity, and I loved the way you built the characterization of the others through his perspective, especially Iroh and the gaang.

I teared up many, many times, sometimes out of anger and sometimes out of sadness, but the last two lines made me full-out cry - they are incredibly touching and sum up his strength and his growth so poignantly.

And this line: [But lightning doesn't strike when you want it to, so he's just a kid yelling out his frustration to a world that won't listen] has to be one of the best I've ever read in a fic. It captures Zuko flawlessly.

A brilliantly written piece. The language was spartan and flowed together like waterfall. The pain, hurt, anger, pride, shame all came across stark and clear. You captured everything that Zuko was and everything that he became. And that's not an easy task, Zuko being the complex character that he is.

Wow! That was amazing! I'll admit it: The lightening moment hurt my soul, and I cried like a baby. You have the inner workings of Zuko down pat-his self-loathing and hope and desperation and motivations-you captured them all. Adore your version of the early banishment and Iroh's relationship with Zuko (that moment when he sees his scar man. It started the tears). Love how you mentioned the moments with Jet as what they were: a tiny glimmer of acceptance before it disappears. GREAT WORK! And you used profanity correctly-only at his most emotional does he curse.

PS. Couple grammar checks needed though: notably, difference between "loose" and "lose."

THIS IS AMAZING.
