Did Mystery Inc. really ever leave the United States in the series?
I know the first sentence mentions a scottish town, but it still feels weird that british Aurors would deal with american teenagers...

Still the idea is funny, if maybe it could have used some better integration into the JKR world with actual mention of more than the one spell or places and names besides Nott... The invisibility cloak was a nice touch, but then which pureblood family would let a squib have something this powerful and expensive? And why would it last the man's whole life if any cloak not Potter's Hallow is notoriously unreliable over long stretches of time?

Cool idea; I've had a few story ideas along the same lines as well, but with all of mystery inc. being magical.

It's also too bad this appears to be a one shot story, as I would love to see what happens next and if shaggy does visit Salem.
