I love the way you wrote Gai, self aware but still unrepentant(no autocorrect to help me out but i hope i spelt that right). Your Genma is lovely as always, the easy affection he bestows his boys and Gai makes my heart swoon. Thank you for writing truly.

I've always liked Gai, but I'd never really shipped him with anyone until now. Gai/Genma is now one of my favorite pairings, right below Madara/Tobirama.

I feel like you are one of the few authors out there that can have me shipping the crackiest of crack pairings. I'd always been a KakaGai shipper, but now I'm starting to like GenGai. I loved the fact you took the type to get inside Gai's head. He's such an interesting character, always has been, and it pains me that he is usually only comic relief. More people need to realize you don't earn the nickname 'beast' because you're gentle on the battlefield. As quirky as Gai is, he is dangerous. Hell, he went head to head with Madara. He's a badass and he definitely doesn't have Kakashi's stamina weakness. I could go on and on for ages about this. Just thought I'd pop by and thank you for writing Gai and Genma for that matter so well. You've brought the characters I love so much to life and I can't thank you enough for it. Your style of writing is phenomenal and knows just how to evoke all the right emotions at the right time. Brilliant.

I have to ask because I'm curious, but do you take requests? Or challenges or whatever? Because I've got an idea to throw your way. Feel free to refuse. I'm not a writer nor do I have an account, but there's no harm in tossing it out there. Got nothing to lose. But yeah. I don't know why, but I've always loved the one filler arc where Naruto goes on a mission with Ino, Shino, and Anko as Team Leader. And for some reason, I'd love it if an older AU Team 7 (NaruInoShino led by Anko-sensei) dimension warps to canon and breaks the time line completely. They'd be older and things would be different, so their personalities and mannerisms would be different. A colder Naruto. A sadistic Ino. A merciless Shino. And then throw in a zero fucks given curse seal-less Anko and you've got a recipe for disaster. Since you are legit the Queen of making me fall in love with Crack pairings, I'd want to read the crackiest crack.

Challenge pairings being: Naruto with Hayate or Yamato. Ino with Asuma. Shino with Ibiki. Anko with Kurenai. Just trying to think of weird pairings I haven't seen done before. But yeah. Don't worry about it if you're not interested. Still a fan either way and I'm looking forward to reading more of your stories. Haha hell yeah. Keep on writing dude! You rock.

Beautiful, as always, and painful in parts, as well. The part in which you described how Gai is used to being by himself, how he is too enthusiastic and too weird and too loud for people on times, and how the little fact of someone wanting to eat with him makes him so incredibly happy, is simply sad. You manage to draw out all the emotions your characters feel and put them out into the open for a reader so not only read and look at but to share, as well, and while it is sad and terrifying and incredibly heartbreaking it is also beautiful.

I very much enjoyed the literal "two moments of awakening" here, and how the first moment is a dream of the man awakening in the second. Very well done, and utterly amazing.

Also, the way Gai views Genma's strengths and his character through the people he loves and cares for is perfect.

Oh, Gai, smitten indeed! I never thought I'd ever read a story from his point of view, but here I am. And it's really, really good. Oh, and the title was very well-chosen, as well... I liked it a lot! Thanks for another beautiful story! I do know why I love reading so much, and why I love reading your stories so much.

Huh. Wow. It's an interesting way to look at Gai, that's something. I've never really thought too hard about him, and then I read this is start floundering in my head. Have I mentioned that your version of Gai, especially as part of this series, is pretty damn amazing? Cause he's so interesting and human, and it's great. We also get some more perspective on Genma, and that's also very interesting. This was very interesting.

I love that you're still writing continuations of this series. Gai and Genma are an eternal head!canon OTP because of you, and it would make me so, so happy if you were to continue writing small one-shots like this. This kind of relationship is the one dreams are made of.
