This was a wonderful read, every bit as well written as the prologue.

And yes, it's very nice for all the political assholes in the book series to get actual comeuppance in the political arena, instead of waiting until the military situation is so very bad, like they did in the book series. That is, in fact, one of the biggest reasons I don't care to re-read the series - political nonsense that the protagonists seem unable, or unwilling, to fight against.

Just a bit of nit-picking here. The Honourable Reginald Houseman was not Second Space Lord, he was in fact Second Lord of Admiralty.
In the Honorverse, the Manticoran Space Lords are always very senior serving officers, whereas the Lords of Admiralty are civilians.

Bravo.
This has been one of the most entertaining and accomplished FanFictions it has been my pleasure to read.
You captured many of the best elements of the Honor Harrington Saga and shaped a compelling, plausible and satisfying Story around them.
I have in recent years grown somewhat jaded at the sometimes needlessly bloated diversions Weber has indulged himself with.
You, to my immense enjoyment, have taken the essence that made the Honorverse initially so appealing and crafted a tremendously entertaining narrative.
This was everything one could wish for from an Honor Harrington Story and a fitting finale that Weber himself, if he was honest, would have been proud to present as a climax.
In addition to my sincere thanks for sharing your talent and tale, please allow me to congratulate you on a remarkable piece of writing.

I for one greatly appreciate Honor Harrington, I consider her to be "Hornblower in Space", this is not a put down, rather it is a statement of my love of the Hornblower series and what to me is a most excellent adaption of that series to science fiction ata Honor Harrington. I must admit I love the SF version more.

I quite enjoyed this first chapter, you do Honor to Honor Harrington, no pun intended. Because of this I find myself wanted to delve once more into that series from the start. Excellent story - love Weber and Honor though later books a bit hard going. This was a breath of fresh air and great storytelling. Love all the ‘cat input. Will bookmark to read again.

I had to come back to this fanfic as the perfect tonic to the uninspiring, by-the-numbers dreck Weber recently rounded off his series off with.

THIS fic, even after several reads over the years, is very much in the vein of his earlier works and is a magnificent and far more creative interpretation of ending the series.
