Wow, that got real... Too everyone suspecting Helga still loved Arnold, even himself. And too real with Helga also feeling so underestimated. Now, I wish Helga could be more than just this whole unrequited childhood love everyone else think she is and move on far away from all that. I hope she doesn't marry Arnold at all.

I’ve gathered that you’re a mom now, and with an almost 2-year-old myself, I can imagine that it’s HARD to keep up with this, but know that I’m a fan of this story, and I want to know what happens next! With Helga, you’ve really delved deeply into the mind of someone with some serious self-esteem and self-deprecation issues, and it really explains her anger so well. If you never finish this, at least know that I’ve enjoyed reading it.

What a neatly balanced story - strewn with both cute and serious moments. And we get to see the beginnings of a relationship forming as well as a firmly established relationship. I also adore how you've written Helga, Phoebe, Arnold, and Gerald's friendship.

I'm so glad when people incorporate Helga being a dancer into stories and art; she's complex and ballet, while considered a hobby and/or hyper-feminine activity, is actually like a professional sport, in my opinion. Ballet dancers are fucking athletes; that shit is intense.

heyyo it's me, ya girl, back at it again to read and review and get caught up on this delight of a story once more!so since I'm doing this on my phone at approximately 4 in the morning because insomnia rules my existence, this review wont be like my other ones and I hope that's okay.

alright! onward with the review!

first off, I am mega jealous at how well you write 3rd personidk if I've ever said that but I am because it flows so effortlessly that i often forget I'm not reading a 1st person story.

secondly, I LOVED the bit about the acrostic poem and especially the acrostic drinkI thought that was SUPER clever and well done. (A on that entire scene honestly because I'm a sucker for good HxA fluff and that was all just golden)

Marc continuously drives me crazy but this chapter, for the first time, his behavior briefly reminded me of my ex husband and it made me have weird emotions but ultimately I hate marc and hes a big ol poop who should stop being so... poopy. I love his character's addition to the story though. I think your OC's balance our beloved HA! characters EXTREMELY well

poor MollyI wish she'd get out and get someone much better though.

oh! I almost forgot! you did one of my favorite tropes/scenes in this chapter! the whole, "under no circumstances will I dance with marc" and then the next like was like, "I cant believe I'm dancing with marc." I tell ya, that is one trope that, if done well, never fails to make me laugh and BADDABINGBADDABOOM of course you nailed ityou know, I go through phases with fanfics that I read but I will say thisI always come back to yours no matter where I'm at. I know a good writer when I read one and you are an EXCELLENT writer. often in this chapter, i found myself reading words i understood the meanings of and stuff, but thought to myself, "girl, why arent YOU using these kind of cool, off the beaten path words?" mostly cause I tend to struggle with finding new words to say basically the same thing after time. moral of this comment is your word choice is awesome, your plotline is awesome, your writing in general is awesome and YOU are awesome. always one of my favorite (if not my numero uno favorite) fanfic writer.

I've been with this story for a long time now. I'd like to tell you that of all the HA fanfiction I've read, you are hands down *the best* at writing believable, in-character stories. I especially appreciate Helga's thoughts- they really add depth to her character, and your dialogue flows naturally. I know life is busy and crazy and if that's what's keeping you from updating I'm sure everyone totally understands. But I hope it's not because you have any doubts about the quality of your work- this is a truly amazing story and you are an amazingly gifted writer!
