I haven't read the Shikamaru novel but am glad you were inspired to write even though you weren't impressed with the last episode.

The fact that Shikamaru even ventures to ask Temari out, shows how taken he is with her. Indeed, everything is troublesome (for him), but being that she seems to be worth the trouble of asking means he must have had this on his mind for awhile. Thanks for sharing!

Temari's very lucky Sarada was a nice content baby. We all know Shikadai is laid back and pretty chill in his teen years, much like his Dad but we can only wonder what kind of baby he is! ;)

It's funny that Temari is already thinking about killing her husband and labor hasn't even come into play. Just kidding.

Funny how lazy Shikamaru does seem to be quite a smooth dancer and Temari just melts in his embrace. A quiet sense of 'show' that he's interested in her in front of all of his friends. In his own special way, very romantic.

What a cute Valentine's surprise. I especially enjoyed the Ino-Shika-Cho conversations and how they were able to read each other, get to the know what the other was getting at, and prod their teammate in just the right way.

Having Shikamaru go through all that trouble for Temari was a lot of fun to read about too.

Oh my goodness, I wasn't expecting that end. Sai's blunt answer and Temari's murderous retribution certainly put comedy where I didn't think it come from. ;)

This was a nice Christmas tribute to these two. Great job!

This was a very touching story and I like the incorporation of family into it. Expanding on the changes war brought about as well as the fact that the next generation is all grown up and has resemblances to those of the past was well received. Thanks for sharing!

This was very, very sweet. I really like Temari's temper, it feels so in character! (the "she didn't ask but demanded to know things" cracked me up and it's soooo true)

My favourite part was Shikamaru thinking "this one one of her most lovable...err annoying triats that Shikamru liked...no, I mean disliked". It was funny because I always got the impression in canon that he was the kind of person who many times denied what he really fet or wanted just because he was too lazy to work for it or because he thought it was troublesome LOL so it makes perfect sense to me that he would deny he loves certain traits of Temari because loving those things would make his life more complicated.

And the ending was really sweet, it is nice to see Shika making a romantic confession like that.
