Ya know, everyone is just kind of assuming that the losing team dies. But we don't actually know that. They could be just waking up or something after they lose.
Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if this was some kind of experiment on human emotions, considering that this virtual reality thing that trapped them was publicly sold.

So...in case you haven't noticed, Nikaya, I have not been in contact. Like, at all. Not even reviews. This is because summatives are due, exam week's coming up, and I'm stressed as all heck. On a more serious note: this is a great story that delves into fundamental questions of reality and what makes us human beings. Although plenty of stories explore these themes, I'm not sure many stories use video games, something many of us can relate to, as the template. So well done. I also have the urge to play Smite now (if only I hadn't fried my laptop.)
