Although I haven't yet seen series eleven here (we're about to reach the finale of series ten) I do know what happens so fortunately I was able to read this and have it make sense, because I would hate to have missed out on it.

You did a fantastic job with both of their voices/characters and you also portrayed their brotherly bond marvellously, all without ever straying into mawkish, over-the-top territory.

I think my favourite part was their conversation at the end, because it was intense but still with their customary snarky moments. This in particular made me smile because it was such a spot-on Dean reaction to Sam assuming he knew something he actually didn't;

"I thought you knew", Sam counters
"How? By telepathy?"

I also liked the follow-up snarky comment about Sam not ever volunteering such information, but also Sam's honest response as to *why* he didn't say anything at the time. Because they are, of course, both guilty of leaving that sort of information out when trying to protect one another.

Their mildly hysterical amusement at the fact the idea of *not* getting an afterlife of any kind is actually something they're delighted about was a nice way to finish.

Awesome tag to episode 11:02, loved this and it would have been great to see it on the show. Perfect how you had Sam have a medical infection rather than the supernatural one return, and out of his mind with fever thinking it had. Loved the conversation at the end between Sam and Dean.

I can appreciate your filling in the blanks on what happened once the boys returned to the bunker. It did seem like some time had passed that we didn't see. Interesting theory that Sam picked up meningitis while he was in that hospital trying to find a cure. I can understand why Dean would be mad at Sam for not telling Dean that he was infected, but I'm not sure it would have sunk in either. Dean was so focused on what was happening at his end, after all. If he had been paying attention, he would have picked up on Sam's tone when Sam talked about finding a cure. I like Dean's take on being sent to a void of nothingness when they die next, since it really does seem like the only way the boys will have any peace. Then again, Billie might not have a say in it. I am also wondering if Sam is getting visions again...

Loved it! But then again...you write Sam and Dean so perfectly, so seamlessly that your stories, to me, read just like an episode that sometimes I forget that your stories aren't cannon...so thanks a tonne for having some time to pick up the pen again! I'll hope you have some more time to write again soon!

Awesome job as usual, loved it! I so wish Sam's powers would return, but I think we are going to be disappointed. However, wonderful fic like yours makes up for some of the storylines we get. Thank you!

This was great, yes, I think Sam never told Dean about being infected and its going to come back to bite him in the future. Just because last episode he got pissed when Rowena told him about the deal with Sam and said something "You always with the secrets"
As per the vision, yes, I wonder what was that all about, it did show Sam that god was there somewhere but, WTF really of all the signs you had to send that was the one? What does that mean?

This story was very good. I seem to remember in the first episode that The Darkness said that she was bound to Dean because of the mark of cain, and that Dean wouldn't be able to kill her because of the mark of cain that they both had shared. That got me thinking, what would happen if Crowley tried to kill Dean, after The Darkness is all grown up. Would The Darkness then try to kill Crowley for trying to kill Dean?
