This is truly an old gem. That final part was especially heartbreaking. I wonder if this is an explanation for d'Artagnan's somewhat changed hairstyle in S3.

How could I miss out on reviewing this?!

Even so late, it's worth taking the time as I'm re-reading stories from my stash of Musketeers' fics..

Some bits are funny (Aramis as hair expert!) but most of it is angsty or sad: indeed, d'Artagnan wouldn't be d'Artagnan in this series without that unique feature of his!

The last part would explain the change in style and coloring that takes place in season 3. T'would have made for a been a nice epilogue here... ;-)

All in all, that's a very well written story, very insightful too.

This is spectacular :) Truly, I'm in love with this concept (and d'Artagnan's hair).

I didn't think anything non-cracky could ever be written about anybody's hair, let alone d'Artagnan's. Congratulations for proving me wrong, and for wrenching my heart out of my chest and stomping on it. This was so angsty it's beautiful... oh, man... I think my heart's bruises have bruises...
